Title: There should be a Tales fighting game.

NOT one of those crappy fanmade ones. An actual professionally made game. They could make it a party game like SSBM or a serious game like Guilty Gear. Really I think they should do this.

Yeah, I agree. I have to admit, not even the fangames satisfy my slake for a Tales fighting game. Imagine...Smash Smash Tales Bros!!!!
Anyways, they SHOULD make this game, even if it's a ripoff off of Nintendo. I think that Namco needs a really nice catchy fighting game. I can imagine 2 ways they could make this game:
Tales Style
Select a character, select their moves (Traditional B up/B Down style) and then fight with those moves.
Street Fighter Style
Choose a character and fight. All moves are available via combinations. For example, the commands for Hadouken would be a replaced by Majinken.
And of course, the traditional "special" bar would be applied to this game as they are in other fighter games.

Yeah that would be great
nice and a bar for using Hi-Ougis, like the chakra bar in the naruto games.

They could include an RPG element to it. Level up in a story mode, learn more moves, and you're able to use them in the other modes. Maybe they could give you movesets to switch between. And maybe a KOF style Striker system.

That would be great, but it would have to be a spin-off.

Thats a good idea! To bad there is a small chance namco will get it into their fat skulls that their fans want something more <_< especially us in teh U.S. ;)

Namco X Capcom was CLOSE, but it wasin't a fighting game, and it only had Stahn, Rutee, and Leon/Judas. But those are interesting ideas, though.

That's the kind of fighting system for a Tales Fighting Game I was dreaming about for the past few months. :<3:
Then they should either use the AR-LMBS or the FR-LMBS. Those are fantastic systems.

I had a whole Tales battle system, thought out on Tales Central. the topic got deleted tho (as well as the whole site) Hi ougis were used when you had 200%+ damage. only one per life tho.

If they just did it like that then I might as well just play a Tales game.
As to my earlier idea of rpg-like elements, I decided that idea was stupid. That would mean multiplayer matches become less about skill and more about who level grinds more.

They should make one Little Fighter style.

It would be cool if they had a Tales fighting game. I would like the combination SSBM. Then like you could jump around, run, attack.

I had something like this on my website, when I got a bit too carried away with the topic... Oh well... :D
