Title: Is the PSP version worth getting?
TheSpasticFantastic - May 28, 2007 08:32 PM (GMT)
I was thinking of getting the PSP version. How is it? It worth getting?

I never played the PS2 version, so I am definitely buying this one soon, probably ordering it from play-asia this week or next week. I will cost me $70 because I always choose the fastest and safest shipping. X3

The PSP version's exactly like the PS2, but the cut-ins are gorgeous, the speed isn't slowed 1 bit, only in summon Hi-Ougis, but besides all of taht, plus the cameo arena, it wins.

Don't forget about the bonus fights in the secret dungeon. Barbatos, Barbatos and 2 other guys, and Lion~!

So it's generally worth it then? Ok, once I get my own PSP I may buy it. How's the difficulty?

In the Tales Forum they are saying it's one of the most challenging Tales games. =/

Oh wait I forgot about that. It surely can't be that hard. I know Barbatos is supposed to be hard though.

Apart from the gamefaqs guide/walkthrough I've been told that
this guide is very useful as well.

Well, Barbatos is pretty hard on any difficulty astray from normal, but he isn't that hard. He's just resistant to normal attacks, and if you try and get into the negitave zone, he'll give you a piggy back ride on his axe. Just let your spell casters spell cast and you use your sexy moves~

Eek! Just ordered it. Can't wait to play it. ^^

Here's a useful tip: Try dash-guarding. (Guard + Forward). Barbatos stays idle for seconds between each time he attacks, so using this oppurtunity to use Dash Guard helps because it pushes him back. This way, you won't get cornered. And don't attack unless someone casts a spell on him, that's when you attack to continue the chain.

Thanks for that tip! I've heard a few people say they had problems beating Barbatos. =/
I can't wait to play with Loni. ^^
