Title: Next LBMS?

So guys, let's talk about what WE would like to be the NEXT Linear Battle Motion System. Er, I think I got the abbreviation incorrect, but you get the idea. Anyways, I would want:
- 3D
- ToR 3 Lines
- Regular HP/TP System
- Tokugi -> Tokugi -> Ougi Style
- Blast Calibur (But choosing what Hi Ougi can be unleashed instead of being decided by Blast Gauge)

I liked Tempest's 3 Line system better. The fact that you can attack in most directions is important to me.
For hi-ougis, I'd like something Abyss-like, but just a tiny bit harder so you can't spam them in one boss battle.

Oh, and it's LMBS, Linear Motion Battle System.

3D+ToDR system please.

either that or just go all out 2D fighter on us. That would be neat.

Attackform of Symphonia
Flex - Range LMBS

I'd also like a new twist into the game. A side-scrolling dungeon, Rebirth style. This way, the dungeon is the whole battlefield and basically you move around 2D and fight monsters on the way. A neat trick, but...I kind of like it.

Kinda like in... gah, I forgot that game. Anyway, that would be neat, and some use for platforming, and more kinds of puzzle-solving other than that damned Sorcerer's ring.

The LMBS didn't work too well for Legendia (3D), but it worked out great for Tempest, so I'd definitely like to see the 3-lines back in 3D. I'd want Hi-Ougis, because they are just awesome, and as for how to pull them off, definitely Destiny 2 style, I love the Enchants. All you have to do is use the skills until you have enough counts to activate a Hi-Ougi, and you can do the same thing for some techs so you can have extensions that aren't Hi-Ougis. Same thing for spells. However I do not want that SP gauge back, that can go bye-bye. I'd also like to see the Overlimit bar, like in Abyss, that's always helpful. No invisible ones like Destiny and Symphonia.

Ohhhh, Sunny's idea, now I remember, sound like Valkyrie Profile. xD Though I would like the fact that you can move in towns 3D, and dungeons in 2D, because it was kinda annoying that in towns that you could only move 2 ways. Great idea Sunny! And then we could do it like Wild ARMs, and have character specific items, like X could have sorcerer's ring, x could have x and x has x and etc.

I think it should offer a "PWNAGE" feature, when activated it initially destroys every Final Fantasy game in a 5 mile radius and forces the Tales love down everybody's throats.

In all seriousness, though, I reckon that Abyss's Flex-Range LMBS (even though I've never played the ****ing thing to due Namco's ignorance of Europe, no I won't shut up about it "Dumbass" <_< - Majinken Members) has nailed it. I reckon the next LMBS should be something like that, but maybe being able to switch members mid-battle would be good? Like if, say, you have a party of Sam, Jenny, Dom, and Owen, and have maybe Anna and Fred in reserve, you could swap out Sam for Fred or something? It would mean bosses could be harder as you'd get more room for error if one of your number died, and tougher bosses would wipe the smile off the critics claiming it was just "button bashing" (is SOOOO not!). Maybe you could have a kind of ToDR system when using moves twice (like two Majinkens) in a row made a new one (Majinken Souga). So maybe it would be a new way to make combo's. They could be unique depending on your tech useage, and bringing back the tech levels from ToS would help too. Maybe Demon Fang + Sword Rain = Demonic Sword Rain, or Demonic Sword Rain + Light Spear = Demonic Spear Rain. Who knows? Maybe timing magic and techs would make new moves. Like Demonic Spear Rain + Tidal Wave = Tidal Spear in that moment?

Who knows, but I hope it'll be awesome!!
