QUOTE (Sypnosis)
A world where Humans and Gajumas lived together peacefully. Long ago, the 2 races had formed an alliance and the Kingdom of Karegia was created. At the present time world, the 2 races still lived peacefully together. Gajuma King, Ladras Lindblum, a 60 year old Gajuma, suddenly dies. Incidentally, on the day he died, chaos spreaded through the whole world. Mysterious energy flowed into Huma and they suddenly could not control themselves. Video output? Perfect, I would plan to record videos too.

Another reason it might come to a U.S. release is ToW:RM, since it's on the same console.

Wow, Namco of JP just have Namco of America some hope. Now we have a chance of a localized ToDR and ToR. You know, I wouldn't be surprised if they started localizing 2D Tales games, considering we have a growing fanbase. Notice the success of Radiant Mythology.

Fixed.

Localization of 2D Tales games would be even a greater reason why I should get a PSP.

Leon Magnus - July 22, 2007 01:26 AM (GMT)
Right now, I think Tales of Destiny PS2 might have the highest chance, considering it has been translated before. Though until then, Importing~ *Saves 100 bucks*

Lyrrad - July 22, 2007 01:35 PM (GMT)
I'm not gonna get the fancy one in fall. Because by then everyone will start posting their own videos on YouTube, and then no one is really unique. >_>; It's already happening, anyways.

So hard to buy games with no job... >_>

Tales of Eternia is the only reason I go anywhere near my brother's PSP. To be honest, I don't see any huge need to buy one because the majority of games out there (this side of the pond at least) seem to be about "OMFGZ0RZTEHGUNZ0RZANDTEHSH00TINZL0LZ!" or maybe even "w0wZ£rZTEHhavTEHcARz0Rz!" which are all exactly the frickin' same. The PSP is trailing behind the DS (and long may that continue) but I am not utterly without heart and soul (Sunny hasn't hit me with his Soul Extractor™ yet) so I'm going to start a huge parade demanding that Namco give old Ubisoft a call (like they did with ToE) for a European localisation.

Just as long as Namco doesn't give Veigue a crap voice actor in any localisations that may occur, this should be ace (I personally reckon that Veigue sounds a LOT more mature and grown-up than any other Tales hero, and I hate to say it, but despite some pretty good voice actor choices for heroes in the past I don't know if anybody from the west could voice Veigue and be taken seriously). Maybe they should just get the old Japanese voice actor to learn English. Maybe they could inflict pain on him if he fails. That would give the famous "KUUUUURRRRRREEEEEAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!" a lot more emphasis! ^^).

I wonder what differences would there be between the PS2 and PSP rebirth. If they're are a lot more cooler stuff and additions, changes, and all I would definitely get this. I would recommend CAMEOS/Colloseum, and more techs... Speaking of redesigned PSP, when is it coming out, and hows it different besides video output?

Definitely cameo. Rebirth doesn't even have a Coliseum.

Faster loading times by storing UMD data in temporary memory.
Internal memory (RAM) increase from 32 MB to 64 MB
Improved battery life due to lower power consumption, and battery recharge over the USB data connection. However the old, higher-capacity PSP battery will still be compatible and using it will give an increased battery life, but the battery cover will not close when using the old battery due to the larger size.
Weight is 33% lighter
Actual PSP is 19% slimmer
A video-out port for displaying on a TV.
Improved responsiveness of d-pad[1] and buttons, confirmed in the GameSpot "hands-on" review; "several GameSpot editors have noticed that the d-pad and buttons on the new PSP provide a little more tactile feedback for a better overall feel."[2]
WiFi switch moved to the top of the console.
New UMD loading tray design.
Removal of the infra-red port, which was ultimately not used on the original PSP.
Speakers repositioned on the front of the PSP near the top of the screen.
Different area to insert Memory Stick.

It will be coming out in Sept. in Piano Black, Ceramic White, and Ice Silver colors in USA. While Jap. has some new colors, Felicia Blue, Rose Pink, and Lavender Purple.

This surely is a good thing, because now Tales fans can have this without moding they PS2. I can tell you that i have modet my PS2, 2 times and i have doed it again, because its has broked by failure of moding.

For some reason i like handhelds Tales like this Tales of Tempest what im currently playing "Damn Abyss getted more attetion than others". Its good thing that they got these handhelds and yes that realy higher changes about english release "There was Rebirth chars in Tales of the world RM".

Tales of rebirth is a good game what i have played, but its too ordinary kinda for newer fans i mean Tales of the abyss was pretty styled and Rokujinshou "six god generals" has postmodern armors instead of regular knight armors. Tales of Rebirth again its pretty ordinary knight based and those designs are ordinary midle-age Knight/Mage thing.

What im gonna say here there is changes for english release and there is no changes to english release.

Thanks for the info AbyssofFonim. I'm definitely going to get this PSP when it comes out. I want the blue PSP, but if I can't get it even though its JPN, I'll get the White PSP which still looks awesome !

Seraphim Swordmaster - August 10, 2007 08:39 PM (GMT)
Say... does anybody know if PSP's are region-locked or region-free (much like the uber cool and swanky Nintendo DS) because if it's region-locked, I am SO importing a Japanese PSP and ToR. If it's not region locked... then I'd import ToR anyway!

NuklearArel - August 10, 2007 08:50 PM (GMT)
The PSP has no region lock for games.

Leon Magnus - August 11, 2007 04:08 AM (GMT)
Nope, not region locked AT ALL, in which case, thats why I am playing ToW:RM (JP) and ToD2 on my PSP, and it's from ours shores!

Silverdragon15 - August 11, 2007 05:08 AM (GMT)
*sweatdrop* Ok, Seraphim Swordmaster...I'm afraid I wouldn't go that far to buy a new PSP. I would probably mod it. But since there is no region code, that means I can get this for my friend's birthday and give it to him.

Judas - August 14, 2007 03:12 AM (GMT)
Tales of Rebirth eh.. Seems very great. And also another reason for me to buy the REDESIGNED PSP, and get rid of my old one somehow by possibly selling it... But anyways I'm thinking more games for the PSP will be coming out, and more fun with the redesigned PSP. Just hope the PSP wouldn't cost as expensive, and much of a RIP OFF like the old PSP...

Tienron - September 19, 2007 06:03 PM (GMT)
Namco announced that the game will be ported to the Sony PlayStation Portable for a Japanese release, and is speculated, based on recent Namco's internationalization of other "Tales" games, that it will eventually come to North America and Europe ^^it's somthing to live on

TheSpasticFantastic - October 2, 2007 10:42 PM (GMT)
I'm gonna get this but I'll need a bigger memory stick. i'll probably buy an english release since i don't wanna pirate everything. buy game, rip to stick, done and dusted.

I hope there's an English release because I'd like another English 2D Tales.

Alienor - October 20, 2007 09:26 PM (GMT)
... in a way I'd love to see it localized, and in another way I'm REALLY scared of English voices.
The little I've heard of Annie in TotW scares me><

Arel - October 22, 2007 09:13 AM (GMT)
From what I heard, most of the English voices aren't too bad. Are they?

Tienron - October 28, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
no there aren;t bad this is coming from somone who has tales of the world i liked more of so all there voices just takes getting use to most of them fit there personalltites

Lyrrad - October 28, 2007 04:26 AM (GMT)
Yeah, Annie and Eugene had above-average voices. I liked them.

The Symphonia cast blows. Only Kratos is good because they kept Cam Clarke. They didn't bring back Robin Hood for Lloyd. Now Lloyd sounds TOO bratty and TOO young. I guess they were trying to match his Japanese voice but we know we can't imitate the originals. Genius doesn't sound like an intellectual brat anymore, now he's just a brat. Raine's voice is too robotic and casual, nothing like the Professor.

Well, that's my opinion. I guess my opinion is based off of the original VAs...because I was more used to them than these voices...

Lyrrad - February 5, 2008 04:21 AM (GMT)
Updates! (omg)

What I can see is that we have new Hi-Ougi cut ins, sub-events, Picture Gallery, and an... Arena?!
