Title: Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games

Soooo, they're putting Sonic, Mario, and all of the little side-kicks from all of their video games into one game for the Wii and the DS. It's meant to be like the Olympics, apparently you can compete in different events 100meter dash, hammer throws, triple jump, archery, and 110meter hurdles (Those are just the ones confirmed so far) but they have a certain since of control to them, for example in the dash you hold down the b button to get a quick start of the starting line and as soon as the starting gun is fired you let go of the b button and start drumming the Wii remote and the Nunchuck to run faster, you also have to tap the b button to jump and dodge obsticles on the track.

Depending on which character you pick you'll have an advantage in some of the events, for example, if you pick Sonic for the 100m dash you'll obviously have an advantage over other players, but if you pick Mario for the triple jump, you'll also have an advantage over other players.

I've always said this, when commenting about this game.

Mario would always be best at the high jump.
Sonic would always be the best at anything that involves running.

With that said now, I'd like to ask; is anyone else here still uncomfortable with Mario and Sonic in the same game?

I am. =(

It's just...I don't know, mismatched! xD

It'd probably turn out better if it was the same crazy platform-jumping, monster-stomping, robot-chopping, missle-dodging, powerup-grabbing, secret-scouting, badass mushroom/LSD adventures that we've all come to know and love :D.

Well its not that much of a mismatch, these two have been in competition with eachother since Sega was first founded. If you ask me i'd say it was only a matter of time.

That was business, and Mario won. But "they've never been officially put in the same game as each other before" is what I meant.
