According to clublakers.com, Phil Jackson will be announced as Laker coach in a matter of weeks. The only details that need to be worked out are the length of contract. The Lakers are working on an extension. Phil has allready met with several Laker players and reportedly went to dinner with Kobe Bryant and Jerry Buss to discuss the team.

Wow...Well, he's not getting a 10th ring, that's for sure. Atleast not next year. But there has to be some major rebuilding for the Lakers if Phil is going to stay for a long time.

This is probably true. But ya never know. If the Lakers get a good lottery pick and package some contracts together for a good player, they could be on the right track.

That's true. Injuries have killed you guys but even if you guys come back healthy, you're not winning it all and that's where the draft and free agency comes in. I think you guys will get better but not title material. I think that'll come tho but that takes a lot of time.
