5 years ago, Sealy died in a car crash after KGs party. Sealy, I think you can take it from here bud.

Malik Sealy was a great guy and a great player. He didn't get all the glory, stats, or money but he always played with heart.
I actually got to meet him for about 2 minutes and he signed my hat. Very nice guy, down to earth and from what I've read about him a great father and husband.
My first game I ever went to was the game against Indiana where he hit the game winning shot. That was one of my best Timberwolves moments ever.

KG took the loss extremely hard. He actually has a room in his house that is all black and grey with a Malik Sealy photo hanging on the wall. KG says "it's a room where just me, malik, and god talk". The room is always silent.
Garnett was the last person to see him alive. If KG would have held him for one more minute Malik would be alive. It's not Garnett's fault, but it just makes you think of what could have been.
When we finally got out of the first round last year I looked up at the Malik Sealy banner and said a prayer for him. As stupid as it sounds, you could feel his presence in the building. The same feeling was there in Game 7. And that same feeling is there for every game, playoffs or preseason.
He never got the attention he deserved, not that he wanted it though. For one time, for the last time, let's give him a standing ovation as he leaves us.
His Wife, Lisa, and his son, Remi miss him more than we can ever imagine.
RIP: 1970-2000 Malik Sealy

Ahh great post Sealy. Ya, everytime I see his banner, I think of him. Why did it happen? Why couldn't it be Artest (LOL)?

Of all the athletes it could happen it, it had to happen to him. He was a class act, donated a lot of money and time to charties and was the perfect teammate. It's sad to see him lose his life so early.

Great thread.
Sealy said all that really needs to be said. I think it's awesome that we retired his number. It's great that Garnett shows so much tribute to him.
