How do you rectifiy the problem? Trade him for 2/3 solid yet medoicre types ? trade him for some picks and a prospect? tarde him for 2 solid players?
Would any team want his baggage? Is L.A Stuck with the kid that ruined Showtime?

1) There is no problem. One superstar can't do it all. It never has happened, especially with an assistant coach taking over as head coach.

2) Kobe can't be traded. No-trade clause.

3) See above.

4) See above.

5) The Clippers and Bulls were ready to dish out all the money they could for him when he was on the market. Alot of top-tier teams would've too, if they weren't already over the cap. What baggage are you talking about? He's getting his promotions back, he's still the best two-guard in the NBA, and he's not subject to the following things: a book being written about him paying off women (Shaq), an immature fight breaking out at the Palace that was pretty damn pathetic, or wearing a wedding dress and colorful hair while kicking cameramen and embarassing fans everywhere.

6) You're stuck in the wrong era...Showtime was Magic, Kareem, Worthy, Scott and Cooper, and Kobe didn't ruin anything. He didn't ask for a trade, he didn't ask to be traded, he didn't ask for anyone else to be traded or sent packing.

Those Miami Heat sure did benefit from getting Shaq, though...even with a star guard, the Heat managed to slip just one round higher than their previous year. How astounding. And now, ironically, Damon Jones, Udonis Haslem, and Alonzo Mourning may be leaving the team in due time.

So maybe all of your questions apply to O'Neal. If you want to cut Kobe's rope for just one bad season, you may wanna do that for the Pistons as well...because we all know what they went through in the 90's.

Someone give me my "owned" sign.

EDIT: I'll save everyone's time.

What if you were the admin of this board, and you got stuck with a member such as shadyrock?

I really don't like what Shady is pushing all over the boards here... Seems like the only basketball he talks is about bashing Kobe Bryant. And if he isn't bashing Kobe, he's writing a one-liner to someone else's post. Keep it up, Shady...

LOL I think its funny that the only person that thinks Kobe is ruining LA isnt even from LA. Stick to making uneducated comments about your own team.
