Dont have the link but saw it on ESPN. We signed Walton to a 2 year deal, and Turiaf to a standard 2nd rd pick deal. Both are nice additions.

I'm not a huge fan of Turiaf, since I think people are overrating him.
Walton will be nice for the triangle, but he isn't anything special. At least Mitch is doing something though!

When you see the energy Turiaf brings the team, theres no way you wont like him.

Turiaf is being overvalued by Laker fans. He has little offensive game, and thrives off energy.

You can find many energy guys. Why not bring back Maddog, who knows the triangle, is a solid defender, and is good for the morale?

Cuz Turiaf is bigger, better, and badder assed than mad dog :) Oh he's also more athletic...

Madsen is a better defender. He has experience in pestering the likes of KG, Duncan, Yao, even Shaq. He also knows the triangle and is friends with many guys on the team.

Turiaf is not the 2nd coming of Ben Wallace. He may be putting up good stats in summer league against scrubs that may never make it to the NBA, but even Bo Outlaw scored 50 in a summer league game.

Its not his numbers that are impressive, its the way he plays the game. His intensity is higher than Madsens, and its only summer league. I like Madsen too, but once you get a chance to see Turiaf you'll see why theres no comparison. Turiaf is everything Madsen is, with more upside, size, athleticism and theyre probably about even on offense.

I know Im not gonna change your mind, as you're allready convinced Madsen is better, but trust me, once you see Turiaf play with the pro's, your mind will be changed.

No, you're absolutely right. Turiaf is the better all-around player. But like I said, Madsen may have more value to the Lakers because of his defense and experience. Hopefully they cut Cook and pick up Maddog!
