Just got back from seeing Janice Connelly (aka Barbara Nice) in the panto Cinderella at The Lowry in Manchester with Kay1 and it was ace!!!!!! :D Our Janice (or should I say Barbara lol) made a crackin' Fairy Godmother and had us in stitches. For me personally I couldn't fault the show, from all the cast, the costumes, the choreography, everything was really good and the visual effects were really impressive (well they were until some annoying women behind us decided to 'talk amongst themselves' by saying how the effects were done and they had a small child with them, talk about spoiling the magic. It was one of the best parts of the show that was for me and then the lady went a opened her mouth, would've been ok if they'd whispered but they talked loudly and it kind of spoiled the moment of the effects if that makes sense. They had real little Shetland ponies onstage leading the carriage too...awwww they were gorgeous, and they were snow white (in colour not dressed up as snow white otherwise animal rights would've strung them up LOL) but they were gorgeous. They guy who played the part of Prince Charming (hehe sorry but reminded me of Neil Fitzmaurice as Adam Ant in the 'Stars in Your Eyes' episode of Phoenix Nights for a sec LOL) well the guy who played the part of Prince Charming in the show was a really good singer, had a great voice I thought. But what I want to know is, why isn't our Janice (sorry there I go again... Barbara) mentioned in any of the reviews I've read so far about the show, there is just no mention of her and she was great :D

After teh show me and Kay1 went for some food, all that dancing in the aisles next to the kiddies burned off some energy so we needed to refuel lol After that we had abit of a mooch at the shops in the Lowry shopping complex, and went into a photo booth thingy where you can have your photo taken and made to look like a sketch or drawing. So we decided to have a go for a laugh lol and here's our pic LOL (lmaorolls)

Great, glad you had a nice time, bet kay1 was over the moon to see her lol

It was a fantastic show! i was really impressed with the ugly sisters! i had a soft spot for one of them! they're names were beltin! paris and nicole! :lol: especially enjoyed the bit where they came into the crowd with water pistols! :gun:

janice was really funny (and sexy :wub: ) great to see her on the stage! the kids loved her!

i loved the wicked stepmother aswell, faith evans she was called, fantastic! as mel said she reminded me of patsy from ab fab! :D

great show and a great day, thanks for putting up with me today mel! and for being wonderful comany!
