Title: Just had a phone call

I've just had a phone call from a lady asking if she can interview me for a medical journal :) She is a medical student and as part of her studies has been asked to write a piece about a rare condition and she chose Ichthyosis for her subject. I was passed on this information from the ISG committee asking if I would do the interview and I agreed and they passed on my phone number, with my permission of course. Anyway the lady just phoned to ask if it would be alright to do the interview tomorrow, and I agreed. She's ringing me again tomorrow at around 11am and it should take about 15 mins or so. I'll let you know how it goes if you like?!!

I'm not 100% sure yet but I think it's a medical Magazine I'll know for definite tomorrow when I talk to the lady who phoned :) I'll let you know

Thanks everyone I'll keep you posted. I'm just glad it's an over the phone interview and that I don't have to travel, I wouldn't be able to get very far at the minute LOL (tease)

Thanks everyone. Had the interview today and it went really well, the lady I spoke to was lovely and she just generally wanted to find out more about Ichthyosis and how it affects daily life. She also wanted to know about the ISG and how it has helped me and my involvement with the charity etc. It is going to be in a nursing/doctors journal sometime soon all being well, and the lady I spoke to today said she'd keep in touch and let me know when it is going to be published. I'm so happy that my story will be seen amongst the medical profession, this way by sharing my story I can help contibute to doctors and nurses knowing more about the effects Ichthyosis has on every day life etc, rather than just focousing on the condition as just that... a condition, if that makes sense?
