Title: Power of Two/diet
Description: Anyone up for a challenge?
wilsonspies - January 15, 2006 06:59 PM (GMT)
Hi all
Well I have the DVD and seen it through...done the warm up and that tired me out...BUT I am willing to give it a go and combine it with a good healthy eating plan and see if I can't shift some weight.
Anyone fancy joining in so I'm not doing it on my own?
I am not going to post what I weigh (but I am no lightweight) but will post what I lose so long as I'm not the only one doing it.
I want to do Peter and Paddy proud and give it a shot.
BTW I am short so any step work and I will look like the dwarfs in the DVD doing it, lol.
Just call me a Hobbit.
What do you think? We could go for a weigh in day, maybe the Monday after the do so you can eat plenty of pies and peas up there first.
Love

I DONT HAVE THE DVD, BUT I WANT TO LOSE WAIT (SORRY I LEFT CAPS LOCK ON)
does the dvd work? andif not (coz it wont work for everyone) does anyone have any recomendations. (sorry i cant spell either)

The work out does get you into a swet but you can't just do that and espect to lose weight, you have to have a balanced diet and a have to make sure you excise

Sorry but I just had to say..... M&P's fitness dvd is a pi**take of the other fitness dvd's out there, there are that many and the fact that M&P's pretty much outsold the lot of them makes it all the more hilarious to me LOL :D :D The routines are genuine that I do believe with Paddy being a fitness instructor before he teamed up with Peter Kay for The Services and Phoenix Nights :) M&P's dvd is all in good fun and :D
Hope I don't cause a stir by saying that

what kind of exersize.
can it be any, as too much runing for me effects my asma.

No doesn't have to be running, could be sit ups to tone the stomach. Go to your stairs and do step ups simple things.

yeah, swimming is a very good form of excercise Julia ;)
Personally I like Tai Chi, it's a gentle excercise but it's great for your body and mind it's really relaxing, helps to control your breathing too which in turn helps you to relax.

i have stopped smoking, am eating healthier and have been trying to go on the cross trainer (i have one in my room, find the gym too intimidating!!) every day, did 8km on it today which burned 120 calories, not bad and i can listen to music or tv while i do it :D
Ian - January 18, 2006 06:14 PM (GMT)
I don't like the gym i like to do excise in my own home much better you can pace your self that way.

i hate the thought of exercising but when i'm actually doing it i feel great i thought i'll just do 5km today then it got to 6 then 7 and ended up at 8!!!! must be the endorphins

Excersise does give you a natural high...thats fact (i saw it on trisha!) It helps with depression (Trisha again) and you should get your heart pumping (cardio vascular work out i think they call it) for at least 20 mins 3 times a week (oooo errrrrr :D ). I exercise for at least an hour 5 times a week more on Mondays  i walk everywhere and i wear a pedomiter to count my steps!!!! on a bad day i do about 17,000 and a good day is about 25,000 although i never excersise at weekends (so only as many steps as it takes to get to the goody cupboard and back to the sofa on those days) That makes me sound like a fitness freak which i am not it's just how it has to be for me and to be honest i noticed a diffrence in body and mind after a few weeks....... so go for it i'm sure we'll all support anyone that decides to do the Max and Paddy fitness plan
But having said that it's worth remembering that if you're very over weight or unfit you should get madical advice before you start any excersise plan

weighed myself after getting back from manchester and have lost 7lb since i started my healthier life, must have been all that crazy dancing at the fundraiser that did it lol
though i don't think the fry up at the fourways helped me along but it certainly got rid of my hangover :D
