OMG!!! I've just heard back from Brighton Dome and they said they've had to cancel tonight because Paddy is ill! :o :(

I hope Paddy is ok! They've re-scheduled to 12th April, but I'm not sure yet if my mates can make the new date, or whether I can get another day off work! :(

I am so gutted because I was so looking forward to tonight. But anyway, these things happen.

I was honest with my work, and explained the situation and I said 'if I come back in to work and work for the rest of the day (ie half a day), that means I am still owed half a day's holiday so would it be possible to take it on the 12th?' And they've said that they dont see why not, but I'll need to check again nearer the time! <_< So I said well if it turns out that i cant go, please be aware that I have tickets and the venue will need them back asap if I am to get a refund!

My friends can make the new date too, so thats great!

So hopefully, all will be well and Cinderella (ie ME!) WILL go to the ball! :D

Ok, so all things going well, I will be going tomorrow to see Paddy at Brighton with my 2 mates. Hopefully Paddy is healthy and hasnt got another nasty bug.

Ahhh this time tomorrow I'll be laughing at Rod! :D

I'll do a full report at lunch when I have more time, but seriosuly folks, this was a great night and the warm up act wasn't Rod but was a huge surprise! ;)

Loved every minute and have managed to convert my 2 friends who both left saying 'that was the best night they have had in a long time', and our cheeks were hurting from laughing so much! :lol:

Oh and I did take photos but once again they are blurry. :blink: I dont know how I manage it! <_<

Well after a long drive (an hour and a quarter) from where I live to Brighton, me and my friends caught a quick bite to eat before heading towards the Brighton Dome.

We took our seats right up the front in the centre (which my friends were extremely impressed about!), and waited for the lights to dim.

They dimmed and the announcer introduced our warm up act...but I didnt hear what he had said so I sat and thought 'who? That didnt sounds like Rod'! But then I heard a familiar 'Hallo loves', and who should walk on stage but the great and fantastic Barbara Nice!!!! How excited was I!

She was great, with lots of stuff that she didn't do at the fundraiser when I last saw her. We were laughing so much that she kept thanking us for laughing! then she got my friend to tell all the audience what the 'Pelvic exercises' were. That was funny coz my friend explained it and said 'That's your pelvics', to which Barbara said 'ooh love that would make a good catchphrase you should get that printed on a t-shirt.'

She then sang us a song to the tune of 'Bright Eyes', but she changed it to 'Bright-on'...I cant remember all the words but it was a nice touch because it was obviously written for that gig.

And yes she did the crowd surf! She got all the blokes up and they were on a little platform in front of the stage, so they were standing over us. And then she jumped on them and surfed along like she did at the fundraiser! I have a small clip of this. She saw me get my camera out before she did it and said 'look there's a camera out already loves so you know that something magical is going to happen!'

And after a brilliant set of her getting us all singing and clapping and shouting things back at her, we were all well and truly warmed up and ready for Paddy.

I have to say that I think I laughed more this time than at the London gig, this may be down to lots of people in the audience shouting things out and Paddy having great responses to them. One question at the end in the box, ended with them saying 'oh by the way I'm disabled if this persuades you to read out my question, love Cathy (Spacky)', to which Paddy replied 'Now I dont want to be un pc but you called yourself spacky! Where are you?', the woman stood up and waved so Paddy took the micky by doing a crazy walk around the stage saying 'ooh I can walk'. Anyway for some reason the woman started walking down to the stage and Paddy was mumbling into the mike 'what's she doing? Why's she coming down?' anyway the woman climbed onto the stage and said 'I am disabled, do you want to feel my box?', so of course paddy said 'yeah' with a big grin and started reaching ahem...down..erm..near the lady's...erm...oh you know where I mean! Anyway the lady kept saying 'no my box, feel my box' and indicating to her chest (so i guess she had a pacemaker), so Paddy said 'yeah love I can see it I dont need to touch it, now f**k off back to your seat', but the woman just stood there so paddy had to keep telling her to get off the stage and he pretended to kick her! lol

Anyway...back to the questions... last time I went a woman asked him to the pub and he brought the lights up and then said 'whoa bring em down..now I like a drink..but...', anyway me and my mates asked the same question and he read it out and did the same thing! Bloody cheeky git but my goodness we didnt half laugh, we were all near to tears it was so funny! Another question in the box was 'why are you still selling your calendar when it's already April?' Paddy burst out laughing and everyone cheered so he replied 'I said in September last year to order 5 thousand of 'em and they didnt show until February THIS year. Anyway they're only a couple of quid! So f**k you!' lol

Paddy again did the going up to a guy on the front row, going to shake his hand and then running off laughing!

But all good things must come to an end. We waited for a bit afterwards, and I asked someone if Paddy was going to come out but they said that he'd already left through the back doors. :(

I just dont think I'm meant to see him down south...maybe he only really exists for real up North? Maybe he's just an optical illusion down south....oooh I wonder...

Been trying to get in touch with her a few times, but no joy, her website is down, the domain has expired so I've no way of getting in touch with her now :( well for a while at least anyway.

Shame you didn't get to see Paddy afterwards though

When you said about your question in the box, I know exactly how you felt. Something similar happened to me and Katie123 at the Blackpool show and we could have died, we just wanted to crawl down our seats and cry, but we had a camera in our face so we just laughed, we shouted at him later for it though!!! Really hope its not on the DVD, I am deffo leaving the country if it is!!!

Anyway, I hope you and everybody had a lovely Easter. Did anybody do anything exciting? I went to Cologne in Germany and ate lots of yummy chocolate in a big chocolate factory!
Hope everybody enjoys the TV tonight, I'm going to curl up in my jim jams with more chocs and watch Peter and Paddy!
