Anyone going to this?

I wish I was, :(
if anyone does make sure u take loads of pics and ask him what this treat is
for max and paddy fans?

Haze - April 8, 2006 08:26 PM (GMT)
He'll be on stage right now. :D

I really wish I was there too!

Han - April 9, 2006 12:05 PM (GMT)
Oooh, I was there. It was a brilliant night and I got some cracking photos. Unfortunately, and this sounds odd as I've just said it was so good, I can't remember much of it apart from laughing from start to finish!!  You can tell it was a hometown gig - different vibe from elsewhere!!

I'll post some linkage to the photos later, but Photobucket's not doing what I want it to at the mo'!!

But it was a terrific night as always!

kegs - April 9, 2006 12:49 PM (GMT)
Hi Han,
It sounds like a good night and I know exactly what you mean about not remembering everything, its really hard to take it all in, buts thats why its ok to go to more than 1 show!
Can't wait to see your piccys, was there any famous stars in the audience with it being Paddy's home town. Also, is it true that this was getting filmed as well as Blackpool or was this just a lie.

I didn't see any but I was secretly hoping that I'd bump into The Kay so I could ask him when he's next touring (if he's touring!!) because I really want to see that, but that's for elsewhere!! Got rather giddy when I saw a car in the car park with 'KAY' in the reg but didn't think he'd be that obvious - and if anyone tells me otherwise I'll scream!!!!! :D

Anywho, photo's are up: http://s56.photobucket.com/albums/g162/spikenet2001/

Don't think it was filmed, although he did mention the DVD out at Christmas (I think he said Christmas!!! I was too busy drooling to really listen - bad Me!!!) - £16.99 when someone was filming it from the audience - that bit I do remember!! ;)

There's Bolton on there, along with Grimsby and Hull. I've been challenged by a fellow Paddy fan (who I've just found out is a member: ellie (wave) ) to get lots of photos, and that's what I'm doing!!! I like a challenge!! ;)

Ian - April 9, 2006 01:35 PM (GMT)
Great pics han, i like the one where hes in that lift thing

Han - April 9, 2006 01:55 PM (GMT)
That was good. He drove that crane out on stage at Hull, and then proceeded to play "Paddy McGuinness' Play Your Cards Right" with the audience yelling higher or lower. Unfortunately for him no-one shouted 'lower' and he got so far up in the eaves he almost took his head off .... people in the balcony were happy though - think that was the best view they had of him all night!!!

kegs - April 9, 2006 02:05 PM (GMT)
Well done Han, they are great. Did he rob that drink off someone or is that his own?
It looks like you had great seats everytime!
Are you going to any other shows?

Han - April 9, 2006 02:15 PM (GMT)
No, he nicked it off some woman to the right of the stage and then, because it was dregs, topped it up with a bottle he nicked off a bloke sat in front of him!!

I'm doing quite well with these seats, I'm really shocked actually. The Reebok was pretty much all unreserved and me and my mate were surprised the front row didn't fill up quicker, but I've got 2 more shows for definite in September and October in Hull (again) and Plymouth (that's not just Paddy, I'm down there visiting a mate for a week) both front row again, and I'm working on another night out with a mate in (hopefully) Harrogate in September if she can make it. I'm determined to get everyone I know into him, because he is class!!!

We have a saying - we're not obsessed, we're dedicated!!! I just say I'm helping pay off his mortgage!!! :P ... And if anyone believes me all the better!!

Top bloke is our Paddy.

And a crane??!!!!  OMG!!! how cool was that!!

Unfortunately I didn't last night. :( I get the feeling there was an aftershow thing or a pre-arranged signing or something afterwards, but I wasn't hanging around. I had a 2 and a half hour journey home, it was getting chilly, my mate was getting antsy and they could've been there for hours, so a bit disappointed, but I'll get over it - I've got a couple more chances!! ;)

He is a top bloke. The night before the Hull date we had one helluva snow storm so it was, to use a technical term, brass monkey weather and he came out in his shirtsleeves and hung around for half an hour for photos and autographs - no wonder he ended up with flu or whatever it was!! He is SUCH a gem. There're a lot of other acts that could learn something from him - but again that's for elsewhere!!

As for the crane, he was like a kid with a new toy. He came out and he was like "I saw that backstage and had to have a go!!!" It was SOOO cute!!! *Going all 'Fangirl'!!!*

gemma - April 9, 2006 03:45 PM (GMT)
ahh that was so sweet of paddy
and him and his crane pmsl (lmaorolls)

Nice one!!! Aww I can just imagine hie face when he saw that crane LOL Yeah I can imagine there being some sort of aftershow party or whatever after last night's show. I was going to pop down to see if I could see him before the show because I could do with having a chat about some stuff but I couldn't make it, not well enough...again  ah well not to worry. Glad you're going to see him again on the September/October tour. I'll be there in Manchester on 22nd Sept with my Canadian friend all being well :) Can't wait!!!!

He's very creative, isn't he!
He is good signing and getting photos with his fans - it really does make a difference. One of my friends little neice saw 2 footballers fiances shopping in town last month, and she politely asked for their autographs, but rather than saying something like i'm sorry i am really busy, or in a rush etc, both of these people completely ignored her! She was really upset, but now she no longer supports these people.
I understand that it must be really anoying getting pested by fans all the time, but I think it would have been polite to have said something, rather than blanking her.
So yeah, I really admire the way Paddy is with his fans and I am sure you will all agree.

Most definitely. I keep saying it to people and it's true. He is lovely!!! He does take the time 'til he's seen everyone who's waiting for him when he probably just wants to get back to his room and have a beer or something!!!

Those photos are great. He looks soooo cutein that hat. You are soooo lucky to get front row seats at most of the shows. Me and Kerry (she is also in this forum) were lucks enough to get front row seats to the Liverpool show and it was fantastic. I have seen him 4 times now and he is absolutely fantastic.

I an on board withyour motto, Not obsessed, just dedicted!!!I like that.

Roll on September, we have tickets for the Stoke on Trent show, I am soo excited!!!!

I think it's very appropriate - may be a fine line, but appropriate, I'm not digging through his bins yet!!!

Ooooh, my mate has agreed to go to Harrogate with me now so that's on!!! WooHoo!!! More photos!!! And not a stalker either ..... it's photography practice, I've not mastered live action photography yet, that's what I'm working on. I need to get THAT picture of Tony. Yep. Has nothing at all to do with ANYTHING bar ..... that!!! Honest. ;)

Hiya Han - I've come to say hello. Small world ain't it?

Fab photo's but you know that anyway, 'cos I've already said. You're a photo star, and I'm gonna get some next time, so we'll have double the number to look at. Yay!

As for the crane at Hull, I was high up in the theatre rafters so I was the one shouting 'higher, higher' the loudest. Next time I go, I'm on the second row, so I ain't missing 'owt. It was so cute and very, very funny.

thanks for posting these Han, they're fab! Although i can't see one of him with the hat on that everyone keeps talking about, maybe i'm daft! (scratch)

It's under the Hull New Theatre date. There're a couple of him after the show wearing a baseball cap ... think that's what everyone's talking about ---

This one I think!!!!!
