I was showing my dad the finished product and he was very impressed with it.

He told me that the BBC accept all scripts, even anonymous scripts so he told me to send it in and ask them what they thought of it.

So i'm gonna send it in and ask them what they think of it! (thumbs up)

What I mean to say is I could 'see' all the characters saying the lines that you'd all written, could see all the 'scenes' in my head, so that means it must've been good, don't you think? I mean, I never once thought 'Oooooh, Brian wouldn't have said that' or 'Ooooh No, Jerry wouldn't have done that', if you know what I mean.... I just thought it was fabulous (as I've said several times here before, I know, but I did!! Honest!)

I'm sure Neil would read it when he gets a chance, and he's in regular contact with Steve and Paddy so I'm sure he'd mention it to them.

Neil was invited to the Fundraiser by the way, and he emailed me after saying how gutted he was that he missed it. He's a lovely guy. ^_^

Just a thought - do you think sending it to the BBC might cause a problem? You know, although its all your own work at the end of the day you are using somebody else's characters............ Im not sure sending it to the BBC is such a good idea....... Not to rain on your parade or owt, but I would look into it further if I was you - I don't want you to get into any trouble guys

I suppose the first step could be to just get in touch with them and feel out the situation before actually sending the thing to them. Although that said, the amount of fanfiction you find on the web, as long as it states that Peter and Co own the characters and that it's just a fan thing there may not be so much of a stigma. Or directing them with a link to the forum, like I did with the email to Neil, so they can see if at all interested how it came about -- Kay1 I'd drop them a line first m'love -- just feel it out, see what they say!!

I know this is old news, but are we still interested in a 'professional' opinion on this. I'm just thinking, with Paddy's tour due to start, if we still want to know what any thoughts are on this, wouldn't it be the perfect time to try this ...... I'm sure somebody, somewhere could collar Tony or da man to pass it on or offer an opinion???

Well I shall take it into work with me on Monday and print a copy off because I have no ink at home. If someone wants to write a little cover note explaining it, feel free, or I could use the email as a template if no-one has any objections??? When Peter's book comes out next month it will have his publishers name and address in the front. Mail to Peter can be addressed to there and they will pass it on. If you put 'Private and Confidential' on it, it has to be passed on and read ONLY by the person named on the letter, that's the law of the land...

Many times if I want to contact someone and they have written a book, I do that and so far have always got a reply. Mind you I first make sure I have read the book and make some comments about that FIRST. Everyone likes a bit of feedback.

I think it would be a nice idea to start of comments thread about peters book and then print off all your messages to post with the script to him, just so he knows we all appriciate it etc.
