What is the episode about?: In prison for hi-jacking the school bus Max thought his new-found son was on. They are brought to their cells and amazed they can’t be together. Max’s cellmate is normal enough, but Paddy finds himself with a devoted Cliff-a-like! His night-time worship of his idol drives Paddy mad.



Next morning, desperate he pleads with Max to think of something. Max says not to worry he is already working on it. He shows a hopeful Paddy how he is burrowing a hole in the wall with a spoon..not only would this take forever, as Paddy says, would only bring him to the cell next door anyway!

They brave it and go to the canteen. Max says to behave like tough nuts, so they become the ‘mean’ Pheonix Twins (“how long was the labour?” asks one cellmate looking at the two of them).



They have a run in with Raymond the B ‘girlfriend’ and later in the shower is faced by Raymond the B and his ‘harem’ (one of which is Tony in real life, Paddy’s brother on the left). They promise Raymond the B a share of the profits of their ‘stash’. He then treats them well with chocs and Sky TV.




All goes well until Brian Potter sticks his oar in and turns up at the prison with a cake and to show them a petition. He makes it so high profile, seeing an eye for the main chance for the club and publicity as well) that it is on TV along with Marc Parc singing a song in support and interviews from Joyce and Holy Mary as well the Rabbi (priest) Kenny Senior is all shown in the prison. The men all realise they have been had.



In the nick of time Tina who had been begged by Max all along to own up to it all, comes through for them and just as they are about to have a run in with Raymond and his boys backed up by Cliff they are saved and released.

Max finally meets his son Daniel in a touching scene and is allowed to be a dad for just a few moments offering good advice provided by Boyzone.

The episode closes as Max and Paddy get their own back by reporting Anthrax to the authorities and the club is raided and everyone doused with chemicals to decontaminate them!

Are the extras good?: Outakes, deleted scenes, trailers and photo gallery are brilliant but I agree with Gemma but the commentary lets it down. What’s that all about?? Who are they??

What made you laugh out loud?: Brian Potter turning up at the prison and looking over the counter saying “I’m a Chad!”



What was your favourite part?: Has to be the scene where Max and Daniel finally meet. I was in tears, beautifully played by little Daniel too.
