Right folks, I'm rallying up the troops. A few of us are hoping to go to see Jason Manford's show at The Lowry in Manchester on 21st October, so we thought we'd turn it into a bit of a forum meet up and I'm sure Jason would appreciate us showing our support too (although I know he really appreciates our support on here too). It'd be great if some of you could make it, although we do understand as not all of us live in the same areas it might be difficult to get to the show due to distance, work etc. But the offer is still there, you're welcome to join us and it'd be lovely to see you there!!! If however you can't make it, don't worry I'm sure we'll arrange a forum meet up again and hopefully you'll be able to come to that. We should have a Christmas Party or something actually hehehe. Also Barbara Nice has got a show at The Lowry in Manchester on 30th November but I'll post more about that nearer the time ok, if anyone would like to meet up and go to that show too.... believe me these shows are well worth seeing :D (thumbs up)

Just sussing this out at the mo - For those of you who are closer than me, is it near enough to Manchester for me to get the train from Derby just to Manchester, or would I have to travel on further from Manchester to Salford? I'd have to stay over too - I might see if my son wants to go and see him with me cos he thought he was good on Funny Cuts - otherwise it'd probably be too expensive. Hmmmm.... still thinking

In fact i will be travelling from manchester to salford via the metrolink, which only takes 5 minutes. So its dead easy to get to.

Dunno how much the show will cost, probably not that much, best checking the lowry website mel provided. I dunno how much travel inns cost these days!

Well it's not looking very good at the mo - TravelLodge (now called Premier Travel Inn ooer!) don't have any rooms available according to their online booking thingy :( I've searched for others, but I'm not having much luck, unless I want to pay about 300-quid a night(!) :lol: at The Copthorne. Think I'm gonna have to give it a miss at the mo... but that could always change - I'm still looking.....

Still working on it - been checking out loads of places online but they're either miles away or too expensive :( Salford have got a Tourist Information Centre - I've emailed them to see if they have any accommodation suggestions Watch this space LOL

hope you all have a super time at the show but i'm afraid i'll not be coming :( I have tickets to see another comedian by the name of Kevin Bl**dy Wilson in october so you'll have to manage without me ;) Have fun, don't talk to strangers and what ever you do don't let Johnny near any Barbra Nice posters. I still have nightmares about the last lowrey, barb, poster incident :huh: ;)
