Who was your Fav. character in Phoenix Nights. Mine Def. was KennySnr, I think Archie kelly played that roll Brilliantly. He was on fire, good job he had Asbestos Skin. Everytime I see him he has me in stitches. I think P.N's is the best work Peter and Dave Spikey have done. I say Dave Spikey because magazine's like Zoo annoy me. A few papers and magazines have said it was co. written with Paddy. Dave was the main co/wrter with Peter on that. No disrespect tp peeps who enjoyed Max 'n' Paddy but I don't think it was a patch on P.N's. It lacked the input of all the other characters and Dave's writing. This has been said by a few critics. I can see why a lot of young Women like Max 'n' Paddy but thats not talent. Oooooch

Yes he did but I am almost sure Dave was the main co/writer. Peter did say when writing Max 'n' Paddy that Paddy had come up with a few good Ideas in P.N's, he didn't say he wrote any. I have a lot of respect for Fitzy, He does have talent. :D

I think it's slightly unfair to say that women only liked max and Paddy for one reason (ie paddy and peter to oogle at!)
I thought max and paddy was a very funny series personally, but I also thought so about phoenix nights. max and paddy had a different style of comedy to PN, but I liked it. Why would peter want max and paddy to be exactly the same style as phoenix Nights? it's a different show altogether so it makes sense that it has a different feel to it. if he wanted it to be like Phoenix Nights he would have just written a series 3.
Sorry Amarillo, don't mean to rant or aim this at you, but I get annoyed when people complain about how different max and paddy is! It's a different show altogether people, it's going to happen!

I came at Max & Paddy from a completely different perspective - coz I had never seen an episode of PN at that stage !! Hard to believe I know...
So I just totally adore M&P.. and can't wait for more !!

Well no disrespect but if you haven't seen Phoenix Nights, M&P isn't a patch on that. :o

I am the same with Dawn. Max and Paddy was the first series that I ever saw and I have not seen Phoenix nights. So after Max and Paddy I saw PN. My fave characters are Max, Paddy and Brian Potter.

Brian Potter was the best. Max was pretty good as well! ^_^
