I loved Les and even now if he is on old Sky programs, he used to have me in fits especially when he did his curlers in hair and talking over the garden fence with ...oh who was it??? he was in Coronation St married to Bet Lynch?

Absolute classic Marlene. I loved Les Dawson too, Roy Barralough I think it is you mean hehehe it was a great sketch!! I loved it when he played the piano badly out of tune had me in stitches!!!!

Oh, all these threads about the old comedians have got me really wishing we had something on TV like this now *sigh* I love a bit of nostalgia me :) *cue music from the Hovis ad* "When I were a lad......." (who remembers that? LOL)
Les was soo funny - do you remember Cosmo Smallpiece?
He was a brilliant piano player really though wasn't he - it must be really difficult to play it badly the way that he did
