Title: Max And His Mug
Description: Today was the day he got it

wilsonspies - December 1, 2006 11:17 PM (GMT)
Hi all

As you know in this archive thread we had a quiz, and with stiff competition I won by one point, only because my little grandson Max is such a huge fan of Max and Paddy and in the hospital month after month we would watch reruns over and over. It was the only thing that would stop him crying sometimes when he was in so much pain after all that surgery.

Well as I said I won and was presented with a mug and our Max has lately really taken to a drop of tea so today was his first time with his very own mug presented to him via me by the forum. When you see these pics remember this lad rarely drinks or eats as he is usually fed by tube in his tummy so this is a rare treat for him and he loved being a big boy for his Nana. I was thinking of sending paddy one or two, what do you think? He knows who Max is and he might like to see him, but which one of these 4 do I choose?

Marlene it's very hard to choose just one, but if I had to I'd pick no. 4; just look at his little sparkling eyes, full of fun and mischief, but they're all lovely pics. Bless him :)

Aww, bless you for posting those pics.

The quotes underneath them made me laugh so hard I nearly fell off my chair, especially:

"Anyone got a Hobnob?"

CLASS!!

PS: I don't know which to choose from to send to Paddy as they're all brilliant, hehe!

Leslie, can we let Marlene decide which, if any, she wants to send to Paddy please. They are her pics after all!!

I wasn't planning on sending them to Paddy myself. I actually worded that last sentence a bit wrong.

"I WOULDN'T know which to send to Paddy" is what I meant to say but I ended up wording it wrong.

Sorry.

Han - December 2, 2006 12:42 PM (GMT)
Glad that's straightened out -- as you were!!! ;)

Leslie - December 2, 2006 12:43 PM (GMT)
As I was?! WHAT?!

It's a turn of phrase Leslie -- as you were ...... carry on ...... let's move on ...... that kind of thing!

Ah, right, I get you now.

It's Ok Leslie..I got what you meant, but can understand also why Han thought you might choose one to send, thanks both of you for caring, you are so sweet.

"as you were" by the way is a soldier term when the corporal wants the soldier to continue as before, I know cos old grandad was a soldier and that was how I met him Germany.

Love
Marlene

I have SO nicked that dinosaur, haha!
:D

And thanks for the thing about 'as you were'. I've actually heard of the term before but had no idea where it came from.

Thanks.

I chose that colour because of course ol' Grandad being a Man U supporter.
