Title: 2 Years On - July - Dec

Johnny - December 3, 2006 03:58 PM (GMT)
So in the month of July, nothing much happened, except for my birthday of course! But that wasn’t nearly as big as what we had in store on E4! Yes Mr Patrick Mcguinness brought out a programme called ‘Chuck Stryker, The Unknown Stuntman’ To the joy of many of the female members, the show was a hit, proving the Mr Mcguinness’s talents didn’t lie just in his trousers! He also wrote most the script!
We also celebrated Peter’s 33rd Birthday on July 2nd. Peter was to appear on sport relief, but to many members dismay it was a scene lifted from his Power Of Two dvd, members thought that this was a poor show and nearly caused a riot, much like last years live8 when his appearance at live8 was interrupted by Jo Whiley!

August is the month that many members too a well earned holiday and from other than that august was quite a quiet month, there was a new section announced which gave members the chance to write about the daily moans and grounds about every day life entiled the forum blog section and is still very popular for letting of steam, so popular in fact that this years forum awards were introduced to a new category called ‘Best Blogger’. Apart from that, I generally think that this was the month where many members were getting geared up for a third leg of some guys tour beginning in Septemeber.

And yes, in September the suit was donned again as Mr Patrick Mcguinness took to britains stages once again on his sell out comedy tour, he also played Manchester Apollo to which a special appearance by non other than Mr Kay sparked much happiness from the crowd (especially me!) Peter also announced that he was to be a dad for the second time. He also announced he would be playing his home town for charity in November on the 21st September. It was also announced on his hilarious Radio One interview that he would be touring in 2008 called ‘The Knives Are Out Tour’ He also revealed that he would be bringing Pheonix Nights back to our screens very soon, much to the delight of Edith Bowman, and the rest of us!
Septemeber was also the month that the popular episode reviews section came to a close after seven months of reviews and discussions about all of Peters television work, Ahhh the memories!

October saw the chance for people to put there knowledge to the test with Marlene's idea of a forum quiz, Over ten days questions were asked regarding Peters television programmes and a leader board was drawn up. The quiz was very successful and Marlene herself winning the prize. A new quiz is being planned for next year so stay tuned. Ocotber also say Peter Kay’s book being released to a very popular response, In fact its still as this goes to press the number one best seller. It combines most of his boyhood through to him starting out as a comic, it was written in the style of him actually being there and talking to you. His son Finlet James Kay was also born in this month.

November saw the the end of an era as long serving member Haze finally retired from the forum after nearly two years of hard work. She contributed in such a big way to the forum that members were shocked and saddened by the news and both admins had last there partner in crime. November also saw the release of Paddys live dvd which sold extremley well and is still going strong now! Many members watched the live dvd being filmed in Blackpool and if you look closely, you can spot most of them in the crowd! Also this month it was time for Peter to appear on Parkinson again, this time it was his most hilarious interview to date and practically giving us all new material to which every member was thrilled with. He also announced that he was to appear in The Producers in Manchester, members jumped at this oppertunity and many purchased the tickets as soon as the came out.

December saw the forum go into a winter wonderland. It was also the start of a new competiton for members to post there favourite pictures for the new Peter Kay forum banner in January. There was a massive responce from this and the selection for the final ten was brilliant. Also the forum once again opened its voted to the yearly forum awards. Ian set up the VIP members colour for celebrity and important members who joined the forum after Babara Nice joined to wish us all a great Christmas.
