January 06, we had just celebrated our 1st birthday but already had a heap of plans for the new year. At the start of January we were still the Peter Kay Forum a single forum dedicated to the funny man him self, until I decided that it was time to expand and build the network around the Max and Paddy team. After a serious talk with kay1…heated discussion I remember it like it was yesterday “Peter & Paddy Forum” – Ian…”Yeah Genius” – Kay1. With the forum changing its name, it was only right for Paddy to have his own fan site like Peter did. On the 18th of January 2006 PatrickMcGuinnes.net was born and the forum changed names to Peter & Paddy Forum.

This was the start of many things to come to 2006, one of the biggest events of the year was the fundraiser, organised by Mel. A night at the Phoenix Club, raising money for a charity very close to her the Ichthyosis Support Group. The night was filled with auctions, entertainment and phoenix nights stars. The night was a huge success thanks to everyone who took part in anyway they could, the total raised was £2,391.07

With the growth of both the forum and websites the demand for downloads increased and it was decided that it was now time to expand to youtube placing all videos on the video website with a link to the website at the start of the video. This has proven a great success with over 700,000 thousand videos that have been watched. With new members coming to the forum contributing in huge amounts the forum was a live with over 11,000 thousand hits a day.

February saw peter voice the brits and Paddy appearing on various television program. This brought discussion to the forum on weather they would be bringing a new tv show, stand up etc. In March The Sun covered a story saying they were trying to bring Peter to itv with “a golden handcuff deal” a lot of speculation came from this with discussions on if this would be better or worse for a fan of Peter. Nothing came from ITV and Peter even made a joke about it when channel 4 had Peter Kay night, a night dedicated to Peter and his work.

Paddy made his second appearance on 8 out of 10 cats this time playing apart on Dave Spikeys team, This time beating Sean locks team. Peter made an appearance in doctor who playing Victor Kennedy in an episode called titled "Love & Monsters".

In June we saw Paddy make a tv show called Inside Wayne Rooney, a program on how Wayne is the special footballer who could win England the world cup…unfortunately when the program aired Wayne had broke his foot. The program still went ahead with great success, it was a very funny program.

July…What…oh apparently my administrator partner has the other 6 months enjoy :lol:
