Title: The Da Vinci Code

I'm reading 'The Da Vinci Code' by Dan Brown at the moment, as I promised myself I'd read the book before I saw the film version. I have to say I absolutely love it!! It's so addictive, I just can't put it down. I must admit I'm not a big reader of novels as such but this is just so good, it's very clever and brilliantly written, and really makes you think. I love stories like that. I got my copy of the book along with two other Dan Brown novels at one of my local charity shops for 80p each and I'm well chuffed with them. I can honestly say I'm now a HUGE fan of Dan Brown's work and everything about 'The Da Vinci Code'.

Has anyone else here read the book or seen the film? I'm just curious to hear your thoughts on this. I do want to see the film because one of my fave actors is in it, Sir Ian McKellen. But I'm glad I decided to read the book first.

Ive both read the book and seen the film, and really enjoyed both. Some people say the film isnt as good, but I liked it! And if you like Sir Ian, hes really good in the film!!
Its an amazing book, and even though its fictional it really makes you think about things and the world we live in, and what things that have happened that we dont know about.

This is going to sound really bad -- it's something I keep doing recently. I started reading it AGES ago and got sidetracked so I've kind of forgotten what happens in it.

I remember bits of it, like the opening couple of chapters, and what I DO remember I think was quite good, so I need to make a concerted effort to read it again. Might take it away with me next week!!

DaVinci COde was so EXCELLENT... couldnt get enough of it... and Angels & Demons is just as good (with the same lead character)...

I've also read the other 2 Dan Brown books and loved them....

I adore the way he can totally misdirect the reader - just when you think you've figured out who the "bad guy" is you discover you're totally wrong....

Hope he writes more soon...

I've also heard they're making a film of Angels & Demons... but the books are better !

I'm going to be reading Angels & Demons next once I've finished the Da Vinci Code.

I've heard that 'Labyrinth' by Kate Mosse (no not the model LOL) is along the similar lines of the Da Vinci Code, so I might get myself a copy of that soon too :)
