Title: Supermarket Sweep!!!!

cerianwyn - February 7, 2007 06:07 PM (GMT)
is anybody else excited that supermarket sweep is back?? this show was the reason I used to tell my parents I was ill and couldnt go to school!!! I just hope that its as cheesy and naff as it was first time round!!
Another show I would like to see back is crystal maze - anyone remember that? It would be better than some of the reality rubbish that is on at the minute!!

You'lldo4me! - February 7, 2007 07:37 PM (GMT)
OMG when's it back and where? I'd heard rumours, but didn't know for deffo LOL I remember it first time around - me and my mum went to see it being filmed when it was filmed at the Nottingham studios LMAO I love Dale Winton - I remember him when he was just a young whippersnapper of a DJ on Radio Trent many, many moons ago....... I had a Dale Winton mug and everything!! (lmaorolls)

Okay - I know - I've said too much.... (OOO)

PaddysBitch!57 - February 7, 2007 07:47 PM (GMT)

cerianwyn - February 7, 2007 07:51 PM (GMT)

I'm getting a strange sense of deja vu and have an overwhelming urge to say "You got a Dale Winton Mug?!?!?! So Jealous!!!!" ;) You like that mug lots don't you?? ;)

I'm afraid my trash TV hotspot these days is Jeremy Kyle, but I do remember watching Supermarket Sweep and yelling at the screen "Pick some Turkeys!!!! Get some CDs and some of those newfandangled DeeeVeeeDeee thingummy's!!!" ;)

Anyone good hosting or is Dale back??

cerianwyn - February 7, 2007 08:00 PM (GMT)
Its the good old Dale Winton back, probably looking as orange as ever!!

I used to shout at the screen for them to chuck more stuff in the trolley, some of them used to be really picky about what they put in - never quite understood that!!

You'lldo4me! - February 7, 2007 08:29 PM (GMT)
Oooh yeah...... Dale's coming back........ (Excit) (Excit) yayyyyy (tease) LMAO

Han - yeah I think we have been here before ;) I don't still have it though y'know....? Twas in my *cough* younger days...

Oooh and they're not real bags of frozen chips and stuff either, y'know... ??! *taps nose* (lmaorolls)

'Bout a fortnight ago then!! ;)

You mean they're not real?!?!?!  :o But I was hoping one of these days I could stock up my film and music collection for free!!! ;)

I just think it's funny that the object of the game is to spend as much 'money' as possible, but judging by how low the prices can be these days ...... well it's a bit like what Peter says "She won a trolley dash round Netto's -- tilled it up. £11!!) ;) That'll win a holiday for 2!!!

Winning tip -- don't go for the Value range!!! ;) 4p tins of beans!!!

That was all very random!!!

offt

I know this is a bit off topic, but repeats of Crystal Maze are on F tn (Freeview 20) at 7.00pm till 8.00pm Monday to Friday.

I think they are the first series with the fantastic Richard O'Brien, the best presenter in my opinion much better than that Edward Tudor Pole.

Although the contestants are still gormless and thick as pig****!!

Cheers
Anita

:D

kegs - February 17, 2007 11:41 AM (GMT)
Gotta say I saw a clip for this and couldn't help but cringe - who on earth has styled Dale! He looks like he's trying to be somebody half his age. Much prefare him in a suit!

dinkdankdo! - February 17, 2007 02:37 PM (GMT)
think hes lookin a little less tangoed nowadays though :P

Mazza - February 17, 2007 11:17 PM (GMT)
I remember watching this show when I was much younger and I'm so pleased that it's coming back on!! I will definatly be watching that!

Danielle - March 28, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
I used to actually enjoy Supermarket Sweep when it first started, I was still in primary school though so I guess thats an excuse for me liking something so crappy!! :P

Never used to miss the Crystal Maze either. I got the board game when I was about 6 or 7 but it turned out it was utter twaddle and I never played it (like most of the games I got!) I agree that Richard O Brien was the best presenter, it was much better when he was on it.

Does anyone remember the Krypton Factor? My brother used to watch that every time without fail!

dinkdankdo! - March 28, 2007 11:46 PM (GMT)
:P yeah i do,and the assault course that used to be on at the end was filmed at the local TA base 5 mins down road from me

Ooh yeah, I loved the Krypton Factor. In fact I was flicking through the channels on me Digibox the other night and lo and behold it was on!!! I was well chuffed LOL yeah I know I'm sad. I used to love the last puzzle that they used to do towards the end :D

Anyone here likek Blockbusters? I loved it!! Watched it every teatime without fail, and even did the clapping dance routine when the theme tune played LOL  *runs and hides*

Thank god I'm not the only one who used to watch it! I was looking on youtube the other day for all the old tv shows I used to watch, it was fun remembering them all, brings back some memories.
I liked all the puzzles on Krypton Factor, so now who's the sad one? Haha! ;)

Yes I used to watch Blockbusters too even though I was only really little, and now the theme is playing in my head and will probably be there til I go to sleep! :P

Yup - those were the days when Blockbusters was the teatime entertainment and even the theme tune kept us occupied! :P

Bob Holness wasn't it? God I am sad for remembering that :P

Apparently when I was about 2 and 3 I used to watch Going for Gold and got all excited when Henry Kelly came on the screen! Oh the shame. I can't remember doing the backflips my parents said I did whenever I saw him but I remember watching the show.

I really think I've given too much embarrassing info now after that little confession!! (OOO)

hehe Aww bless ya!!! I remember Going for Gold too :) what about when Leslie Crowther did the Price is Right hehe or when Larry Grayson did Family Fortunes... or have I got that totally wrong about FF?? and 321 I always wanted a Dusty Bin for some bizzare reason  Ted Rogers was cool, and I still can't do the 321 thing he used to do (not that I go round trying it or anything hehe)

Now who's the one who should be quiet *runs and hides indefinitely* LOL

I vaguely remember Leslie Crowther on The Price is Right. The only one I can remember on Family Fortunes is Les Dennis (poor me!)

I can't remember watching 3-2-1 when it was originally on as I think it finished when I was only little (I wasn't born until 1985!). I've seen repeats since though and Dusty Bin is so cool - I also agree about the 3-2-1 fingers thing, my brother used to try and get me to do it and I still can't even now!

I think I shall join you in hiding out - I've just admitted to trying to do the 3-2-1 fingers. Oh the embarrassment :P
