Title: News & Stuff

Hi Forum Fans

Well Lesly brought this to my attention, Youtube has closed my account, which had all my videos on :( i've contacted them but they say its to do with copyright issues ;) . So it means that the videos can now only be downloaded via the fan sites.

2nd thing is i've had major problems with the advertiser that does this website, seems like its sorted now and i should be getting paid. Big news then that is because i was getting fed up with the way the advertising was going i've secured a 2nd advertiser for the site so i'll see how that goes.

On March 18th peterkayforum.com needs to be re-registered so the website will be offline i'll give different address for that day, not sure how i'm going to sort it out yet as the domain name still belongs 2 ironside and i can't get in touch with him

What a shame.

Yet there is heaps of copyright stuff on youtube, all the Catherine Tate stuff is still there. they will have to go through with a fine tooth comb to get rid of all of them.

Sorry to hear you are having problems in every direction Ian, you don't deserve that.

Its because google has taken over it and are really arsey about what goes on there now, it wasn't a problem before!

Were going to be moving to a new home with better features, so Ian has promised! So we shall look forward to that!

Typical isn't it. I swear as soon as something proper commercial gets involved with something relatively independent it all goes to hell.

But that's a right b***** Ian. I noticed it'd all gone when I looked at my subscription to your vids. It's just not on. Not everyone gets the chance to see these things, and to be honest, in theory it can only help to spread the word about someone or something. I mean, when are broadcasters going to realise the advantages of file-sharing!!

I hope my David Armand video lasts a bit longer on there -- it's only been there a few days!!! But I bet the BBC has something to say about that ...... kinda glad my bit of Toby Foster was too big to put up there too. That would've gone I reckon ......

Sorry. Rant over!!

Moving house, eh?? You know that's supposed to be one of the most stressful things you can do, but it sounds good.

Good for you Ian

There is heaps of Max and Paddy stuff on there as well as other copyright stuff, they have their work cut out if they want to ban all of that lot. Wouldn't mind but you have always done it with the best intentions and right the way down the line you have done things by the book, I can't believe (although DO believe of course) that they have picked on YOU of all people.

Blow them then!

To be honest, I think if the got rid of ALL the copyright stuff -- even anything with a HINT of copyright material in (which will most likely be the next step!!), there'd be naff all interesting on it for the most part.

Don't get me wrong, some of the original stuff is brilliant, and lovely and heart wrenching, but the vast majority seems to be dire. The other day I saw a video on there (via the BBC website!!) called "Seacombe Ladz" -- a group of teenage boys trying to be gangsta's (I believe that's the phrase!) and it was just utter s****. I was thinking 'why bother????'. Or a video of a group of kids playing around in an ornamental fountain ...... rivetting stuff!!!

If they're not careful they're gonna have very little on there bar videos of happy-slapping, hoodie wearing chavs!!!

You go for it Ian. If other people don't want to share f... sod 'em!!! (thumbs up)

I have a few music videos etc on mine but, the majority of the stuff I have on my YouTube account is all my own material ie videos I've recorded and put on there.

There are a couple of videos I might delete off mine, such as a Max and Paddy one I made that doesn't work properly and I had it drawn to my attention the other week about it.

They've already banned stuff that's copyrighted to the BBC off there, especially HEAPS of Top Gear stuff and things like that.

As it's already been mentioned, since Google took over, you can't store s**t all on there unless it's your own stuff. Which means me routing through mine and taking off every music video I have on there.

Tough job but someone's gotta do it, I suppose.

PS: Ian, you spelt my name wrong, kid!

:( sorry to hear youve been havin probs Ian,hope it all works out

superfan - March 20, 2007 12:55 PM (GMT)
Thats what Google will get for opening up a can of worms. Why cant people just leave things alone. It was working fine til they started messing

Han - March 20, 2007 11:36 PM (GMT)
Youtube (or rather Google!!!) are really taking the p*** now!!! <_< I'm just having to rejig ALL my vids (with the exception of my Bon Jovi one!!!!) on my Myspace profile because none of them exist anymore?!?!?! WTF?????

Think I may stick to Myspace vids on the ol' profile!! Right. Off to re-find the Top of the Tower intro, and probably the Auditions!! Useless fricking B******!!!

Ian - March 21, 2007 07:51 AM (GMT)
What everyone should do is, not tag your videos. Or tag them with stupid names that way the BBC won't find them and won't put a complain in.
