On Daves new blog, he is asked ' will there be another series of Pheonix nights'?
His answer has left me a bit deflated. He said that he knows that neither he nor Neil Fitzmaurice were approched to write another series and said he heard Peter say in an interview that he would have to kill a few of the charachters off. There is so obviously something going on with the 3 writers. Peter says he has already written it but I fear it will lack something without the 3 of them contributing to it. Dont get me wrong I love Peter Kay and everything he has done in his career so far but it wont be anything like the original Pheonix nights and this is where people or programmes fall flat. Trying to recreate something that was once brilliant.
Apart from the fact that they wont be writing it together I am also gutted that, if this is true, there will be no more Jerry Sinclair or Ray Von.
I just want them all to sit in a room together and bring back the magic.
Howay lads, sort it out
I've got to say, I totally agree with you there....gutted :(
I've only just found out that Dave is at the Octagan theatre here in Bolton in September, but as I went to look for tickets it's sold out so I'm even more gutted now :( ah well... not to worry
