Title: Bolton Little Theatre-albert Nobbs

Not much going on here at the forum, so thought I'd share this with you all.

From 20th 27th october the Bolton Little Theatre production of 'Albert Nobbs' will be on. As some of you know already, I'll be doing the sound for this show which I'm really enjoying (Excit) Anyway, I just thought I'd mention the show in case anyone may be interested in coming along to see the play, if you're in the area (or even if you're not in the area but still fancy going). Here's more about what the play is all about etc,

"Albert Nobbs has retired after 40 years in a dead end job and all he wants to do is to put his feet up and read the paper - but Connie, his wife, has different ideas. So does Ruth a slightly odd, but kindly, neighbour and Alice, a very odd neighbour indeed. All want a bit of Albert. All want Albert to enjoy retirement but when tragedy strikes it is hard to laugh and smile or even look after yourself properly.
Written by Gordon Steel and originally directed by John Godber at Hull Truck this laughter & tears, light & dark play sees Stuart O'Hara in his first leading role.
Sue Gill, (who retired from teaching in July) is Connie. She confides in the audience as she recalls their life together. Christine Flanagan takes on the double roles of Ruth and the slightly mad Alice.
Directed by Steve Gill this Main Stage production is extremely funny - a bit rude - gut wrenchingly touching - and yet in many ways totally true to life.
This promises to be one of those plays that if you don't bother to see you will regret. Don't just think - I've never heard of it...it can't be any good - if John Godber thinks it's good - it's good!
Intrigued?

Warning!
As films these days have to advertise their sex and violence content, for Albert Nobbs we have to announce the following:
Albert Nobbs swears a bit. Albert Nobbs takes his clothes off a bit. Others just threaten to!"
