For a festive laugh look no further than Alan Carr's Celebrity Ding Dong (Channel 4) and Peter Kay's Britain's Got An Extra Pop Factor And Then Some 2 + 1 (Channel 4), which catches up with his reality winner Geraldine to see how she's coping with fame and fortune. It also features her Christmas single - be afraid!
Can't wait for the Christmas single, I'm voting Geraldine all the way for Christmas number 1!!!! (thumbs up) I'll scream if Bob the Builder's new single or worse beats it grrrrr.... brace yerselves folks LOL I scream loud!! hahaha
It was in the Bolton News about the filming of the Christmas video looks like fun! My uncle's mate Albert is in the video too.
Thanks for the info Marlene :peterkay111:
Mel
please please please get Geraldine McQueen to the christmas number one spot with her new festive single and stop the winner of x factor claiming another festive chart topper
for the past 3 years, the x factor winner has claimed the once prestigious christmas number one spot and it's just not on.
the hype of the show means simon cowell can (and does) release the worst possible song knowing that so many gullable people will rush out to download the track or buy the cd single making the worst track of the year, the highest selling song of the year (and the song with the least radio play most probably)
so surely he can't be allowd to get away with it yet again this year?
2005 - shayne ward billed as the UKs answer to justin timberlake during the show and the debut single? A westlife cast-off not fit for their B sides (b sides as in the reverse of the a side - a record term! not what you lot are thinking!!!)
2006 - Leona Lewis - the song was picked for her in mind surely - it's still an awful song no matter that she can sing like an angel holding a wet mop. (Warning - do not listen to a leona radio interview whilst driving - you may fall asleep at the wheel) funny how a cover version of a snow patrol song has boosted her album sales, her previous releases didn't do nothing to keep the album in the charts
2007 - Leon Jackson. the poor lad, at only 18 years old wanted to be the next Michael Buble. Leon, not the strongest of singers but good at his jazz inspired songs, gets given a whitney / mariah song to cover and it is so bad with his vocal range and the big ballad don't suit his style of singing - Falls from the top 40 quicker than a lump of lead.
2008 - what have we got? Alex - surely the best singer left on the show but if she signs to simons record label it'll be the death of her career before it begins. JLS a boyband that are good at singing and dancing (sign up to simons record label and there won't be an upbeat song on their album) some critics call JLS "jokers last song" Diana - the love child of dido and duffy. quirky, unique(ish) and don't wear shoes - the winners cover version single has been picked with her in mind and she sang it at the bootcamps.
then we have loveable irish teen lad owen (i can't spell his proper name) he's got the gayest of haircuts and you can't hear his voice coz he has so many backing vocals on his songs (to hide the fact that he can't sing)
so i was so releaved to hear Geraldine was releasing a christmas single so, we must all get behind her and buy her single when it is released on 15th dec. i've already pre-ordered mine.
available on cd single and dvd single retailing about £1.99 (half the price of the x factors single)
[SIZE=14] Come on everyone, together we can claim back the prestigious christmas number one and wipe that smug smile from simon cowells face. Make it happen.
happy christmas everyone
