COMEDIAN Peter Kay is set to broadcast live from the Phoenix Club during a five-hour television special this Summer.

The Bolton comic will be helping to raise cash for vulnerable people leading tough lives in the UK and the poorest countries of the world.

He will be at St Gregory's Social Club, on Church Street, Farnworth, on July 15, for a live programme called Peter Kay Live from the Phoenix Club.

St Gregory's was used to film Peter's Channel 4 comedy series Phoenix Nights.
