Going from what Haze mentioned in the 'Paddy at The Lowry' thread, about having a Phoenix fiesta night at St Gregory's Social club. Well I've just had a thought and how about a Phoenix Nights theme night?? We could have it as a charity night (was thinking of the Ichthyosis Support Group - the charity I'm involved with maybe, just an example btw) have a raffle with PN-related prizes, maybe an auction, a DJ playing all the music featured in PN (Kar) and...... here's the catch..... everyone who comes along HAS to dress as their fave PN character!!!!!!!! (Excit)

Like I say it's just a suggestion, but I thought it'd be a great way to have a meet up, plus we could raise a bit of cash for charity, try and get as many people to come as possible, invite your friends, relatives, budgies and the like lol And maybe...... just maybe... invite Paddy along as our special guest (thumbs up) Who knows (cheers)

I know it's probably been done more than once before but oh well.... lemme know what you think anyways, I want all your ideas etc so.... get thinkin' (thumbs up) (thumbs up)

Btw... was thinkin' of having it maybe around the beginning of December, after Paddy's tour, before Christmas so we could maybe combine the two Crimbo & PN do!!

Looking promising already (Excit) (Excit) Although, it doesn't necessarily mean we HAVE to have the 'do' at St. Gregorys because like Haze said it may be difficult I'm not sure (scratch) Might ask Amarillo what he thinks (he only lives round the corner from the club)?? If for whatever reason we can't have the 'do' at St. Gregorys, (always good to have a back up plan!! (thumbs up) ) then another suggestion is to actually have it at a hotel somewhere (plenty of choice in B'pool... I can make enquiries as my Uncle knows quite a few hotel managers in B'pool). Somewhere not too expensive (obviously) but somewhere nice (obviously) somewhere that has like a conference/meeting/function room for hire that we could use for the 'do' itself. Then we could all book rooms in the same hotel... not as far to crawl if we've had one too many.. know what I mean ;) (*ahem* or is that just gonna be me??!!! (tease) (cheers) lol)

Anyway, that's Mel's thought for today pmsl!!!!! Let me know what you think.... also any help with organising this would be fantastic!!!!!! Gonna have to start planning and organising as soon as if it's gonna work. So, ask around see who may be intrested in coming along.... like I said we hope to have it around beginning of Dec - ish (may have to shop around if we have it at a hotel being the busiest time of the year and all that... blimey why the heck didn't I think of this sooner :rolleyes: (tease) ) and if you could try and get a rough idea of how many people who may be interested in coming along (the more the merrier) then we can get an idea of numbers etc. Then there's publicity... gotta get some flyers done too to advertise the 'do' and the charity... OMG!!! Me thinks I'm getting a bit carried away now lol I'd better shurrup :ooops:

Yes hun it's a great Idea, I think it woulsd be better at St.Greg's. It would give everyone the opportunity to see where it was all fimed. I have been to three organised P.K. nights now and they was all brilliant. Not gonna say it's easy to organise so if you need any help let me know. I am sure Bob Williamson will attend as he is a friend of mine. Some of you may not know him but Peter asked him to be in P.N.'s doing one of the auditions. You don't necessarily need celebrities to attend. They had local talent for the last one I went to and that was for Charity. I am sure if you ask Paddy and he is free he will come, he does a lot of Charity work. I have met him twice now at St. Gregs along with most of the cast. You could just have a Karaoke night there because two of them I attended Paddy got up and sang. BTW LOL I am King of the Karaoke but don't do rap lol. Hope you can organise it and if anyone needs accomodation for the night there is the Fourways B&B which is very reasonable in Farnworth. (wave)

Mel I am the queen of organisation! I was a PA to 3 directors of a company a couple of years ago, so I'll help you. I'm glad that you thought my suggestion was a good idea! I didnt know whether to mention it at first in case you all thought I was silly! But seriously mel, count me in with the organisation of it all.

My friend is a professional photographer, so if she's free I'll drag her along on the night to take photos for everyone. That way we can all get some top quality prints, and if Paddy's there then that's my chance not to mess up the photo again! :rolleyes:

Would be great if we could get St Gregorys, I'd love to say I've been in there. And if we talk to Paddy early enough then he could try to clear that date in his diary, and maybe drag archie and steve along. They went to the Fiesta so there's no reason why they wouldnt come to ours, (unless they are super busy!) :)

Oooh we could also ask Toby Foster to come and maybe he could plug the event on his radio show? eeek the possibilitys are endless!

Plus we just HAVE to invite the Runcorns(?) (the elderly dancing couple in the PN audition)
