8800gts geforce graphics card
2.7 2.8 intel dual core processor
2 gig ram

hardly top power now, but it can run everything out on highest or close to highest settings. the only time i upgrade is when i cant run games anymore, and by then its usually cheaper to get a new comp. so i only upgrade the individual computer when its parts break.
last year my power unit shorted and melted my processor to the board, before that i had 3 gig ram, ddr400, this ones newer and twin linked or some shit lol. my old card was a radeon 9800 and it had a 4 point something gig single core. only spent 600 on an upgrade that maxed the bastard for a good couple of years. i'm guessing the next one will have quad cores, or at least some very high powered ones. i'm not getting a dual core that has individual cores at these speeds or less, cryostasis needs moar power in single ones to run decently as it doesnt use multiple cores.

"Why, Mr. Anderson? Why, why, why? Why do you do it? Why, why get up? Why keep fighting? Do you believe you're fighting for something, for more than your survival? Can you tell me what it is, do you even know? Is it freedom, or truth, perhaps peace, could it be for love? Illusions, Mr. Anderson, vagaries of perception. Temporary constructs of a feeble human intellect trying desperately to justify an existence that is without any meaning or purpose! And all of them as artificial as the Matrix itself. Although only a human mind could invent something as insipid as love. You must be able to see it Mr. Anderson, you must know it by now. You can't win, it's pointless to keep fighting! Why, Mr. Anderson, why? Why do you persist?!!!!

My computer is supposed to be middle classed, but really, it sucks.

you know you are the second person in this forum who said prices are cheap in Turkey.I start to wonder about other countries prices&salary comparisons.
Satry and any other professionals use higher than 4gb rams and 64 bit operation systems since Rams has an vital role about 3d applications modding etc and only 64 bit operations systems could use hºgher than 4gb rams fully. Also it is not expensive as it seems especially Rams are so cheap

 i have a shit load of stuff running while playing games. For example i can have photo-shop CS3 ,windows media ,Amapi 3d pro, torrents downloads and re5 running at the same time.I sometimes make changes to my mods textures via photo-shop ,repack them and put them back in game while playing re5,saves me some time even if i have to go back to the main menu and start a new party to see the changes displayed.I can use several 3d applications at once on the same screen and again it saves me some time .I can pause a game and go play with a ps2 emulator or even another game(assuming it's not Crysis lol). Those rams are definitely not wasted ,I'm a multi-tasking guy. :>
@ turania i haven't had any issues with the X64 version of vista so far i just make sure to keep my drivers often up to date.Shame there isn't enough 64bits based applications or games out there.Windows 7 is better so i will be upgrading soon.

my setup:

Athlon 64 X2 5600+
2GB DDR2 RAM (800)
gainward 8800 GT (1 GB VRAM)
3 HDD's (80, 250, 300 GB ... but I got a 300 and a 500 GB external HDD in addition)
all on a DFI Infinity board
Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW 24" TFT

...so guess you can call it upper midclass or midclass.
