Left 4 Dead looks fantastic! Thanks for posting that link, I'd never even heard of the game.
I'm torn between getting a Wii or PS3 sometime this year. If MGS4 is truly revoloutionary, as the first game was, then I might just go with the PS3. With all the best 360 games seemingly coming out on the PC, there seems little point in forking out for the console.

they're porting re0 in japan.
The wii man, if you don't have one of the systems already, you're not a hardcore gamer. the ps3 has more value with the bluray player... but nothing good is coming out for the ps3. I say get a wii.
it's cheap and it's got brawl :D

Yeah, I've never been dissaponted with A Nintendo console, EVER. Dunno why I was torn to be honest.
Hardcore gamers don't need current gen consoles! :P :D I reckon you need BOTH a PC and at least 2 other consoles, one of which is retro, to even come close to hardcore classification. If you also have one or more arcade/mame cabinets/pinball machines, your there ;)
Current gen are primarily casual gamers. Everyone I know with a current gen system are all casual gamers.

by hardcore gamer i meant like, FPS r0Xx0Rz.

downloadnig 40k soulstorm but so far it just sounds like dark crusade but with an air unit in each race..and a an even crapper eldar variant, the sisters of battle start with forward base so the gam will probably be a lot easier with them. apparently builings you left in a province dissapear now when attacked so where before you had an army rady to fight their pre formed horde, now you get raped from the beginning like a zerg rush before you get your engineering bay in starcraft.
so far it sounds like just another time waster till clear sky comes out, cause that, gow 2 and crysis 2 are the only games im looking forward to anytime soon...oh yeah and hl ep 3, they'll end up bringing all the expansions out in one pack, so i can play them all at once like its a real game (like it shoudl be, its hl 3 afterall.)
clear sky looks awesome as hell, and is 50/50 new areas, but everythings warped and mutated like its in the future, but then again the zone is a messed up place, you can actually join the factions and fight with them against the other factions, meaning even though its not stalker 2 it will probably be longer, having possibly 8 endings and lots of missions for each faction, plus all the old weappons and back and they are adding more, i'm guessing the weapons will have better physics too, cause even though 1 was awesome, your character was never 100 percent accurate even when prone, and i hope they p the weight limit too, i found it fun the first time i played, added more tactical gaming, but after that i added mods to up the weight, so i could use weapons with heavier ammo like the groza and the dragunov. i was dissapointed that tghe pribor was removed from 1 midway through, hoping it will be back in this.
http://forum.warfare.ru/index.php?showtopic=7317the pribor i fetish so much.

@ el-b:
I play soulstorm since it was released and I got to say its quite fun. I own every game/addon of dawn of war and the Dark Eldar are ma new favorites (former Chaos).
Of course its again like in Dark Crusade - most time of the in singleplayer you "just" destroy the other races...but I'm fine with that.
I'm very looking forward to play Soulstorm with at least 4 of my friends at our next lan(with everyone playing a different race).

the last two games have just been downloads for me, kept them cause it can be really fun to just wail on massive hordes on hardest, wait for the enemy to build up an unending tide and just fight then back, i was trying as the tau to defemd against the orcs like that and everytime i got near their base a squiggoth finished building and pushed my line back to my base again, twas entertaining if stressful:P.
i didnt buy them cause after winter assault i felt i'd been cheated enough, game one had 11 levels, about 22 more than warcraft 3, a dozen less than age of mythology and even less than command and conquer, and i thought nothing was as held back as those games (only just going 3d a few years ago and only just adopting decent button placements in teh last game) nevermind the fact the campaign was only for one army, and they were so overpowered that once you have built a few dreadnaughts you owned the map.
winter assault was the smallest expansion ever, and would have been more suited to being released free on the internet, the engine was upgraded a little and the lighting was better (as it has with each instalment i will admit) and while you finally had a campaign with each army it was 5 levels long and set in sides, making it ten missions, thats including the double mission where you choose who gets the last level. 2 such a small packw as not worth what i payed for it, so i havent payed for one of their games since. just one more reason to try before you buy. hell completed bioshock 3 times and i want it when i finally see it again the pc one has seemingly dissapeared round here lately. and crysis was only worth paying for, i would have payed more gladly.
oh and while dark crusade can be fun, there are only about 9 maps that are even slightly resembling something normally found in a campaign, the rest are just deathmatch missions with the destroy hq to win setting...and thats cheap.
