Title: Dark Sector

Anyone played this yet? I have and I found far too many similarities with Res 4. This game so wanted to be RE4 I just couldn't believe my eyes.
The over the shoulder angle. The finishing moves were similar to RE4's kick system (bash them right then hit them), The Russian merchant selling guns. Some of the boss fights.
Anyone else think that?

Yeah, Dark Sector screams "We wish we were RE4." I mean hands down it's a good game... but so many things are blatantly copying that it's not even funny.

A mate of mine played RE4 on my PC a couple of months back, and just two days ago, he says, 'oh, I got that game I played at your house' And i was like, eh? So he booted up his 360, and it was Dark Sector! :lol: He's dyslexic you see, and didn't actually remember the title of Dark Sector, as he'd loaned it off his brother in law.
When I told him, he said he though it was strange how he'd completed the game without that lass following him around (Ashley) like on the PC version! :lol:
Anyways, it highlights your observations perfectly. These screenies look VERY RE4'ish!

It was good, though they spent too much time on the glaive. The Graveyard area reaks of the castle.
Dark Sectors Merchant was annoying.
We me and my brother rented it and in the first few minutes we were in unison on saying that it was just trying to be RE4.
