i downloaded it a week or two ago but never really got to play it cause of a full hd, but installed it a few days ago and was pleased to say that this version does actually improve upon the consolver version, a pleasant surprise considering how later pc ports gamers are usually shafted. the graphics are identical but have further room for improvement than an xbox due to constant upgradeability and any possible patches. but what everyone wants to hear about with assasins creed is 'is it less repetetive and dull?'

i'd like to think so.

when i played the 360 version i was amazed at the visuals but never really got into the whole flag collecting or templar slaying that was put in to make the acheivement whores play for years on end. and the small mission count meant you ended up having to do the same task a few times to get an assasination, something you didnt need when you just wanted to get to the killing anyway, on the pc there are four new mission types and they are really fucking fun.

one is a rooftop race to an informant who has the info, another is assasination of archers on roofs, this has already had a version on the ground but with these guys, they spot you miles away and are always alret so you have to choose your path carefully, and cause your getting off the roof afterwards you can sometimes fail the mission after alerting a ground level guard. i cant really remember one but the escort mission is probably the weaker on the new ones, but involves fighting and i loves my knife so even thats all plusses.

the assasinations havent changed obviously, but now at least getting to them is less boring. and something new is that you dont ahve to trudge through kingdom every odd level, it gives you chances to just go straight to the outskirts or beureau of each city straight from the masayaf fortress portcullis, saving loads of time trudging that could be better spent releiving tension on those asshole lepers (seriously those bastards shoved me during the execution block assasination about twenty times when i was trying to get to the scholars, it was frustrating to say the least).

plus this time round i got into the whole flag and templar hunt something scary, did every mission and high perch and ended up with 20 health bars, it gets addictive. the worst missions for me though will always be interrogation, cause sometimes they just loop round busy areas and you have to fight nearby thugs who join in as well...i think i pretty much mastered the knife fighting as far as you can, and i prefer it over the sword even with its increased damage, flinging knives off into a guys neck as part of a counter for another is very fun.

looks like everyone grew bored of Assassins Creed :( Me included, although it's still on my comp, should go back to it really. Finished Condemned 2, total and utter shite! For once, Yahtzee was WAy to kind in his review of that game. It really didn't even a have a good first half as he said, merely OK. Don't care if it comes out on PC or not cos I woudn't even give it another try on the PC.

How queer... at least it is for me, as I see everyone great critiques and reviews speaking very highly of those games. But anyway... if you say they are not that good... you surely have good reasons to think that way. I don't have any of those games yet... I was planning to have them. Now I'm reconsidering it.
My best regards.

Hey, you should still try those games first mate. Don't let my personal opinions totally put you off! Condemned 2 was just a huge let down after playing the original. Enemies dressed as Slipknot and shouting at enemies until there head pops is way beyond cool, and more in the realms of 'so stupid it's laughable' Assassins Creed i just found very unoriginal, but stll enjoyable ;)

'Ass is a sin.'

something wrong with you:P

the xbox version was really long winded and repetetive, but like i said theyve added new missions and more shortcuts on the pc version, and its a massive improvement. also it might be just me, but the guards are less ready to rape you with scimitars in the last run of the areas on the pc version, all you have to do is walk past them on the comsole one and they go apeshit.
