Title: Dead Rising 2!
Description: It's in Vega... err... Fortune City.

Dude! Dead Rising 2 was officially announced about 2 days ago after a lovely little viral campaign shown over the net. The new protagonist is not Frank West, it will be on PS3, 360, and PC. The new CITY is to be quite big from what I've read, you'll be using vehicles a lot more, and there are more weapons than ever! I'll post screen shots soon!

I read about it too. This is hopefully going to be the ultimate zombie-game for PC.

I read news, also. The news I read, is sexy. MUST HAVE.
"We were pretty sure that Dead Rising 2 video was real on Friday, now we're positive, with Capcom officially announcing the game coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Capcom says that Dead Rising 2 will take the franchise to a "new level of zombie-killing fun with tens of thousands of zombies" and a chance to kill them in fun ways in the gambling paradise of Fortune City.
Dead Rising 2 is set several years after the zombie invasion of Willamette, Colorado. Unfortunately, Capcom tells us, that zombie virus was not contained at the end of the first game and spread unchecked throughout the U.S. Dead Rising 2 depicts a country where zombie outbreaks continue to strike.
As we had heard long ago, Dead Rising 2 is being developed in partnership with Canadian developer Blue Castle Games as well as a number of members from the original Dead Rising team, including Keiji Inafune, who as the game's Producer, will play an active role in the project.
The announcement promises that further details concerning the story and gameplay of Dead Rising 2 will be made available shortly. But what we already know is pretty interesting: It's multiplatform. Hey Capcom UK, I guess Brian Ashcraft didn't mistranslate that interview after all!"

That's right, Flo-Joe. I beat you, SUCK IT.

New guy is looking much more Angry than Frank, you know that Frank will be unlockable though... hell they even plugged the Megaman costume in the viral video.
Skinny blond guy main character? O.o Somehow I feel more represented in games again.

at least this guys got the right idea when it comes to zombie slaying uniform, pretty impossible for normal human jaws to bite through leather, best zombie stopper there is, and looks awesome with the other zombie stopper, the shotgun.
guess its a good thing i collect leather jackets really then lol, i have 7 right now, its an expensive hobby:P

Leon™ - February 22, 2009 09:23 PM (GMT)
in the guitar pic, I think I'd just go Mario style and jump
from each jackpot station to the Exit.

Question: Is Dead Rising an Action-Based game, or Horror Survival? (Like RE)
rastsy - February 24, 2009 12:35 AM (GMT)
I'm going to have to say action based game.
el-b - February 24, 2009 03:14 AM (GMT)
lets hope it hasnt got the shitty weapons degredation of the first, for some things it might make sense, but come on, a broadsword breaking after three hits? they should maybe consider an item menu like resi, where items take certain blocks up, so you can carry lots of weak or a few strong and, maybe force a few healths in there.
the game world went mad for weapons degredation, the worst fps for it was farcry 2, where a brand new gun would explode in your hand if you try and fire all your ammo, without even reloading!
rastsy - February 24, 2009 05:21 AM (GMT)
Indeed, but there are games were it was pulled of decently like system shock 2.

Why does his jacket say Deik? Does that sound like Dyke to anyone else?
