got the pitt last nigt and stayed up ages on it....i like.

one thing i can say right off is that this is over 9000 times better than achorage, and with way more items (although i still bonerate my invincible t-51b). the fact that you temporarily lose yoru items upon entering the pitt means that you actually use these items and weapons, rather than just spamming the unique weapons like me.

right now i'm using a LASER FUCKING SHOTGUN that scores instant criticals on almost every limb at once, its a death sentence.

unlike in the main area you dont buy these weapons, you find them or are given them in exchange for items you have to pick up on your first quest, there are 100 but ive only found like...60 or 70 so far (you only need ten to continue but its well worth it to look round, the steelyard is massive..also i have a semi-hidden unique saw called the man opener lol)
only got past quest 1 of 3 so far but that took me quite a while, and theres a genuinely creepy computer report in the supply yard about the factory replacing men with machines through genocide. the trogs (new mutant enemies) are really cool, and also extremely creepy since they make almost no sound, so will often seem to appear aout of nowhere and nail the shit out of you (they are very, very strong and resemble snorks from stalker, but jump ten times faster but not as often)

heres a cheat though i found out...when you are given the quest to the steel mill a raider comes in and talks to your quest giver, he kept repeating himself over and over again and it seemed to be gliched so i killed the shit out of him (he only had a 10mm but metal armour) and took his far superior stuff, the quest giver didnt seem to notice.

also there seems to be a big problem in this with skin tone assignments, bodies can be almost green and rotting but they have pale or normal heads, sometimes with the same marks, giving them a massive and offputting neckline that draws away from the whole experience somewhat.

overall though i'm loving it.

this area is also far more atmospheric, with a burning sky, the areas mostly lit by fires and furnaces with most of the slaves welding or sawing, with sparks and shit coming off that. sadly my brightness is way to high so much of the atmosphere from the trailers is lost on me, but i like to see where i'm going and its still awesome lol.

sadly i'm going to have to do this over again after completing it, and give my henchmen instructions to stay outside the pitt entrance, if you have them following you when you go into the pitt they return to the place you hired them. unfortunately this means that jericho wont come back unless i get rid of charon, destroying my small army.

still its a pretty cool dlc so i'm fine with it, the fact that there are two rather muddied moral choices to make that choose the fate of the pitt only makes a rerun more interesting.

edit...it doesnt work, even making them wait will send them back home, meaning if yoru not started yet, take advantage of the glitch after you go to the pitt, its something i intend to do on my next full playthrough.

someone said there's stupid bug that prevent you completing this, better save often

i didnt get any completion bug, but i only did one moral path, maybe joining wehner is glitched. there is a really annoying bug though before you go to the rather easy arena (i guess it might have been harder if i wasnt level 20 already) where ahsur was doing two speeches at the same time...i tried reloading but it happened each time you went into the assigned area.

sadly they still don't fix the broken VATs issue :(
