Ehh, I'm going with 5 even though all the MGS fans are bitching. Look, I loved MGS, but 4 was not a satisfactory ending. I feel like 4 was a huge punch in the face, lets tie up almost all the loose ends with the word NANO.

Ok, my only real backing info is that Hideo has a twisted sense of humor, the first MGS4 trailer featured Snake and Raiden fighting over the chair for the main character and at the end him and Rosemary started talking.

Raiden: I won't get to be the main character.
Rosemary: What about number 5, there is gonna be a 5 right?

Don't be surprised if Konami does something like NOT LET ONE OF THEIR TOP SELLING SERIES END.

Snake's story has ended, but I can say with very little doubt that the next game will feature Raiden

Yeah, because it's not like they revamped his character and built up his fan base, not too mention he was a huge hit in Japan.

Raiden was awesome, but he'd have a totally different gameplay style. Unless they chose to do Boss's story, you wouldn't have the same kind of story.

I'm sorry, but Metal Gear is not over, there are still some things I want explained, and this seemed like a really cheap diluted version of what could have been the story. I mean Christ, look at number 1, 2, or 3 and tell me number 4 is even half as thought out. Not too mention the original 2 Metal Gear games, no the Solid series, had more substance than this.

i only had mgs one but saw the others, thought that kojima was just really fucking wierd and long winded personally. mgs1 has the most simple plot of the4 newer main games, with clone soldiers and a virus, some special forces with a nuclear rail gun and you pretending to be stealthy. after that they just go insane...the possessed arm is probably the best proof lol. the bit where a whole army gets fingerbanged to death by ocelot is pretty cool though i guess.

the mgs games wernt even really stealth, splinter cell was, there was a set amount of alarms and readiness levels, you wernt that good a fighter considering what you were against, and you had some badass stealth moves and kills. on mgs you just run round with a famas or whatever then hide in a box. the closest thing to a stealth move is neckbreak...4 got closer though but used camoflage NANOS to cheat lol.

They did do Boss' story, it's called MGS3

I have MGS3 and 4. I forgot the girl's name that you fight in the field of flowers.. I wasn't big on the story when I played it. I should play it again.. but if you played when she was younger, that's what I meant.

I sincerely doubt that there's going to be a mgs5...so soon that is.Kojima made a game called "Snatcher" ,back in the 90s, from what I've read.
So I'm pretty sure it's a S and not a 5 ,it's going to be a Remake of that game.An announcement for MGS5 so soon after the 4 wouldn't make any sense at all....at least i hope so :lol:

also, i've always wondered what id go dressed as to a nerdcon, i keep dreaming that someday i can go as one of my characters so i can just make it up as i go and still look right. if i went as a metal gear solid character id go as THE FURY with a real FLAMETHROWER, that would be hot....that was awful.

i managed to convince someone else to work on my site but they wont do the code, they should be starting it afer this weekend since their out to leeds for sex and combichrist.

Meh,those were just "speculations" on what all that teasing was about ,i just still sincerely believe that their mysterious announcement has nothing to do with the metal gear series,errrr at least i hope so :lol:
