Then there's the Hardened Edition, which comes in a special, metallic tin case; includes a scratch card allowing the download of the original Call of Duty on Xbox Live, Playstation Network and services unknown on PC; and an art book showing scenes and images from the game's development. That'll set you back $79.99.

Then, finally, there's the frankly ridiculous Prestige Edition, costing a whopping $149.99. Included are the above Hardened Edition goodies; a plastic head; and yes, a fully-functioning, Modern Warfare 2-branded pair of night vision freakin' goggles. Yes, real goggles that work, and allow you to do creepy stalky things in the neighbourhood at night. By the way, the head doubles as a stand when you're not out being arrested.

See, I'm not stupid enough to fall for these gimmicks. The NVG's probably won't end up working as well as you thought, the bust will be made of a flimsy, easily destructible material, the sketchbook and custom boxart will likely be scanned and uploaded to the internet as a .pdf within the first week and a brand new copy of the original Call of Duty only costs $20.

Of course, I never played Call of Duty 4 either.

semi decent nvgs can be about 200 now actually, thought about getting some for years, but they only last a few years so i figure as soon as signs of the zompocalypse arise or i'm ready to go postal i'l wait....so i can lurk. the prices can be really high for them but after a while theres no real difference, they all last the same time anyway. the more expensive ones react to light though and will change brightness in order to keep you from being blinded.

yea thats tru. but look at what infinity ward is trying to sell tho, buy the goggles and u get a game with it, or buy a game and u get a pair of goggles with it. even if there are goggles in the 200$ near this 150$ price tag u still have to count the game, which is 60$. now ur looking at the goggles which is really only 90$ and to me the must be sht quality, and i doubt ull risk ur life with one of those toys in a zombie apocalypse :lol:
