get the pc version, graphically its superior in every way, especially colour wise, the ps2s colours are bland as hell on everything, you only realy notice on multiplatform games though for the most part.
also you can set whatever controls you want on a controller or keyboard, rather than just having forced settings like on a console.
i really do recommend cold fear, if this and resi 4 were one game it would be one of the best games evar. the environmental and lighting effects on cold fear are amazing and work great together, the decks of the ship that the first third or quarter takes place on) have such an atmoshphere to them that you will probably feel a lot more dead inside playing the pc port on resi 4, plus guns have lights on them...only some though, and the mp5 (you really have to hunt for that gun) light is really weak.
also these are better zombies...many enemies have specific weak spots, the main zombies (creeping slow then really fucking fast charging ones) can only be blown up or head exploded for the kill for one. this game also has a much more survival horror feel due to lighting, sheer tenseness, lots of dark areas with threatening noises...you can also move slow while aiming, allowing you to light the way...basically this game was dead space before dead space. if anything id say dead space was far more influenced by this than resident evil....thats awesome as fuck by the way lol.
