I'm not too up-to-date with Star trek so I probably missed several serieses or put the same up with different names but I do really like the original version of Star Trek i thought it was very funny and amusing, the rest were boring and dull. Any thoughts?

I very muched enjoyed DS9. People say it was too dark or too 'gritty' but I thought it was very funny and touching in a lot of places. It was really a new frontier for Star Trek since the charecters wern't zooming around in a star ship every episodes. They were in a location where their decisions were very influential and I though Captain Sisko was one of the best captains in my opinion. He had to command a Space Station far from Federation support, deal with the Dominion, Cardassians, Klingons and even with the Bajorans who saw him as their Emassery and basically the top religious figure in their religion.
I also thought this series delt with some good issues very well... I can't remember the episode but there is one which deals very well with racist issues and such. Also the episode which I think is called The siege of AR-588 delt very well with front like fighting and I think on a whole the seires delt well with war and it's effects. But that is just my opinion... I think it was good becuase it had it's own baddy and it was good to see a Star Trek series without the Borg becuase it would of been too easy just to plonk them in to get ratings like they did with Enterprise episode Regeneration. They did stuff that no other Star Trek did or has done.

no question.
Voyager the best.
DS9 second fav.
didn't like end of voyager. what any1 else think?
Momiji-kun - November 5, 2004 08:34 PM (GMT)
well i thought the ending was very good, i really enjoyed it and thought it was a good end to the show, though take into account i havent seen hardly any of most of the show so i dunno whether there were other parts from earlier on in the show that should have been tyed up. For example i know bedoc and tenshi have said about the Q species which i have never coem across lol. hehe.

The final of Voyager dissapointed me. To be honest it felt like they just stuck the Borg in for the hell of it. I thought that they were shown too much in the series. Yes one of the crew was Borg but still I felt that they showed the Borg too much. It would of been much more interesting to have seen a new enemy that was unique to the Delta Quadrent. I would of prefered to have seen an ending that was built up over the series and not just brought in at the end of the series since it felt a bit too rushed and if there had been more substance to that story it would of been better.
Example : Chakotay and Seven. Where did this come from? I've read a book that's set just before Endgame and you see a friendship develop between the two but to be honest in the TV series it just was thrown in and made no sense. How did they decide they liked each other? When? To be honest they threw away what would of been a good filler episode in that Chakotay and Seven start dating and also a good ongoing storyline in that you see the romance develop over weeks.

I started making an animation to that song using stills I made on paint... the rubbishness of my drawings helped add to the comedy... for the first bit it was the enterprise going through space then as the lyrics started these aliens with eyes popped up and it looked as if they were singing, then when the lyrics turned to "THere's Klingons off the Starboard bow" I had Uhura singing then at the end of that bit a klingon pops up at a window... I should of finished that since anyone I showed it to died laughing...
