Silver Mountain Borders
This is the only entrance into Silver Mountain's packlands. It's a barren place with little shelter and little food. As you look from a ledge into the valley you can see much vegetation, shelter and places to roam, but can you make it past the borders?

Bearfoot Stream
This stream was once a huge roaring river that carved out the entire valley, but time has reduced it's roaring waters to a gentle stream with only small stretches of swiftly moving water. As it winds along it turns into Divine Falls, Hidden Lake and eventually joins up with Salmon River farther south before emptying into Borealis Bay.

The Dead Hollows
Located on the western edge of the stream, here once stood the den area of Silver Mountain Wolves. However, the burning has reduced all the foliage to ash and most tunnels have collapsed since.

Secret Glen
A mile from the main dens, if you follow a small little dirt trail through the woods, is the Zeta's den area. Here is a clearing with several caves set in a small earthern cliff overgrown with shrubs and grasses while a little ways off in a huge hollowed out tree is where the Lead Zeta lives. The caves come in various sizes with the large ones being set aside for pregnant mothers to give birth in come spring. If your wolf is injured, come here and the Zetas will take care of you until you're better.

Pup Point
Located on the eastern side of Bearfoot Stream, this large field is an excellent hunting ground due to the abundance of game of all sizes. Pups are often brought here to play as well as practice hunting until they are old enough to help with the formal group hunts that often take place here. On the southern edge of Pup Point is where Counsel Rock is located. This is a rocky outcropping with some scattered boulders and this is where pack meetings are held. This is also where packmembers come if they wish to speak to an Upper Rank or to call Rank Battles.

Divine Falls
As the name implies, this beautiful waterfall plunges twenty feet into a deep pool below that holds a variety of large fish. The sides of the Falls are a jumble of large boulders that are fun to climb on, and with some skillful footwork you can find a pathway behind the Falls that leads to a cave. It cuts deep into the cliffside and the sides of the cave are crystalized. During certain times of the day, the sunlight streams through the water and makes hundreds of miniature rainbows on the walls.

Hidden Lake
A little ways from Divine Falls, a small tributary from the stream forms a large crystal clear lake that is filled with all kinds of fish and aquatic creatures. It is great to swim in and the banks are grassy with some brush and trees growing along the southern end. Various birds and small animals reside here providing hours of entertainment for pups.

Evergreen Glen
This large forest stretches for miles and the stream flows through the heart of it. All kinds of trees grow here, from huge towering pine trees to ancient oak trees. During summer the foliage is dense and the forest is cool and shady while during winter sunlight streams through the boughs of the pine and spruce trees. Hunting is good here, especially during winter as the deer come here to seek shelter.

Caller's Ridge
This rocky, hilly area is covered with bushes and few trees. The rocks are fun to climb on and the highest is a spacious ledge with a great view of the packlands. Here wolves seeking a mate frequent and young lovers come to revel in the feeling of being in love. It is said that during a full moon if you call from the ridge your true love just might appear...

Crimson Valley Border
Stretched across a lonely looking stretch of grassy tundra, or snow in winter, is the border to the Crimson Valley pack. Though the area looks inviting and prey can be seen further in, beware stepping past this place without the Alpha's permission as they won't hesitate to kill trespassers.

Raspberry Thickets
This area is overgrown with thorny thickets, hardy bushes and even more hardy grass all fed by the Taizen Brook and determined to grow in this rocky place. Here is the den area for the Crimson Valley pack. Only those that have lived in this area know how to get in and out of this area without receiving some nasty stabs from the thickets that surround this area. Once you get past the thickets, there are several holes and caves in the area.

Canyon Vista
This rocky place was formed by a glacier many centuries ago and a small river still winds through the bottom of this canyon. The walls stretch upwards over 40 feet and are actually a rather pretty reddish gold color - a rare sight in the Alaskan tundra. However this Canyon, while fun to explore with all its little caves and ledges, is also where some of the pack come to settle their disputes. Ambushes happen here as well and lone females should think twice before coming here at night as not all males in the pack are as charming as they appear...

Hidden Arroyo
Just before the entrance to the canyon there's a narrow vertical crack in the sheer rock wall. It is just wide enough to admit one wolf, and the high walls leaning toward each other above make it feel even more cramped. However, wolves who follow the twisting path eventually find that it open up to a pleasant little glade with soft sand underfoot, a spring-fed pool, and plenty of small prey unaccustomed to being hunted. The same high stone walls that shelter the area from the weather also provide several small dens, the perfect place for a wolf to recuperate. To one side is the Lead Zeta's larger den, raised above the others and accessible by a sloping ledge.

Golden Plateau
The rocks in this area aren't golden, and it's not exactly a plateau either. It's more of a boulder strewn area with a raised platform created by several boulders resting against each other. Here is where pack meetings are held and rank battles are issued and fought. Grudge matches are often brought here as well. When fights aren't in progress, it's a fun place to explore as the heaped up boulders have created little passages and a challenging obstacle course for pups and adults alike interested in such things.

Verde Plains
This area is surrounded on west and south by the Midnight Forest, the Golden Plateau and Canyon Vista to the north and the Taizen Brook to the east, which supports various species of fish and can give pups hours of fun trying to catch one. Hunting is good during spring and summer, but once the first snows fall all that can be found here are rodents and snowshoes.

Taizen River
This fast moving river branches off from the slow moving Eureka creek and winds into the heart of Crimson Valley territory. Its reedy, rocky banks provide excellent places to ambush thirsty prey animals and opportunities for fishing in a few small wading pools. It borders the Verde Plains on the east before eventually meandering into the far end of Midnight Forest.

Midnight Forest
As the name implies, this forest is dark and foreboding and it looks like it's always nighttime. On the outer edges near Verde Plains it's a pleasant enough place and deer are found here during the cold months. There is a pond in the forest, but good luck finding it, and if you do find it, good luck getting back out of the forest. This is another places young wolves, especially females need to be on guard as other members of the pack might take advantage of the cover of darkness...

Valley Of The Dead
This vacant field is bare with only the hardiest of grassy plants growing stubbornly in clumps. There are no trees here, but for some reason a light fog always lingers. Legend has it that this ground is cursed and only it knows why. As a result, on certain nights some wolves swear they see the spirits of fallen wolves wandering in the darkness.

Field of Opposition
As one heads further south, the barren ground comes to life and grass and brush grow lush and green. It is surrounded by woodland and thick brush. It is here, in the heart of the Neutral Lands, that the two packs hold Counsel with each other.

Kodiak Springs
Pools of both warm and cold water are spread across this area. Steam is always in the air, creating pockets of dense fog. It is a great place to hide, but beware for you never know who, or what, is lurking in the shadows nearby.

Eureka Creek
Named for its abundance of various fish, this creek is a virtual gold-mine of food. It winds slowly among rocks and downed trees. The creek bed sparkles in the sunlight from the little bits of gold filtering through the rocky bottom.

Wolf's Head Peak
A far off extension of Caller's Ridge, the Peak is high, a perfect place for scouting and serenity. Its base is littered with high conifers. Its elegant, curved shape is the base of its name. The top of the peak is high to look over both packlands, but one false move could send the unfortunate to its untimely death.

Twilight Caverns
Nature has built this place into the side of Wolf Head's Peak. Hidden by shrubbery and bushes, the entrance is hard to find and only allows one wolf to shimmy in at a time. Once inside, though, you enter a magnificent and giant network of caves that branch out and run everywhere. Some places have natural light that filter in and others are as dark as midnight. Bats commonly flutter in and out from entrances in the walls and other assorted critters also run around. Other hidden entrances can be found if you look hard enough. Jagged edges abound, be extremely careful- if you get lost, there is very little chance you will be able to get out.

Outland Border
This border winds through the mountains and ends at a barren rocky pass with little shelter and little food. Past here the Outland pack has made their home and any wolves caught past here without the alpha's permission risk being killed on sight.

Woodland Retreat
This is the den area for the Outlanders. This area consists of a moss covered rocky outcropping which holds many small caves and tunnels. A gently flowing stream runs near the den area providing the pups with little minnows and other small aquatic creatures to play with. Upon the highest ledge there is a larger cave which is set back from the rest, which is the Alpha's den.

Eagle Rock
As Salmon River winds south it skirts around a rugged mock cliffside created a long time ago by a landside. Over time the boulders settled and created a jagged mini cliffside. The area got its name from the large birds of prey that roost here, primarily eagles. Aside from being a great place for pups to explore, this is where pack meetings and rank battles are held.

Salmon River
Here is where Bearfoot stream joins Salmon River. The water is crystal clear and as the name applies, abounds with salmon. Other kinds of fish are found here as well though. It winds further south before emptying into the bay.

Ghost Tree Hill
At the southern end of Shadow Forest is an area of the forest that is starting to bloom green once more. A long time ago, a forest fire ripped through this area and the ground is slowly recovering. Grass has snaked up through the charred earth and the area is starting to look alive once more.

Lapine Meadow
This area is known for excellent game hunting with it's gently sloping land covered in lush grass and wild flowers in the warmer months. The meadow got it's name due to the abundance of rabbits and hares that live here although other small animals and deer feed here as well. Pups are often brought here to practice their hunting skills once they are old enough to leave the den.

Shimmer Cove
Near the bay is a small inlet with a large cave. As you enter the cave, it branches off into various other caves, perfect for injured wolves to come to when in need of a Zeta's help. There is a larger den towards the front for the Lead Zeta while several other larger caves are reserved for pregnant mothers come spring for giving birth in. Further back is a small brook that provides fresh water for drinking or bathing in.

Borealis Bay
At the southern end of the Outland pack territory is this vast beach. The black sand is littered with rocks and in winter months, ice. It is a great place to view the Aurora Borealis, which is how it got it's name. Hunting is excellent here during fall and winter as many sea creatures are found here, from seals and walruses to penguins and seagull nests.
