Title: So what is new?
Description: On this forum

Teen Vibe - March 10, 2007 06:07 AM (GMT)
[doHTML]Sooo what are these <i>new things</i> you can do that you couldn't do on proboards?<p>

Lets start with <a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=UserCP&CODE=00">My Controls</a>
<p>
<a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=Msg&CODE=07">Edit Storage folders</a> - Here you can edit/add the names of your virtual directory.<p>
Just like you would in your actual e-mail. You can add folders to store you messages in. One for your friends, one for important messages etc.
The only folders you can't delete are the 'Inbox' and 'Sent Items'. Keep in mind if you have messages saved in a folder you created and you delete that folder
you will also be deleting the messages within it.
<p>
<a <p><a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=Msg&CODE=delete">Edit PM Folders</a> - Here you can empty the folders. Select the folders you
wish to empty and click continue. Remember there is no un-do. Once they're gone they are gone.
<p>
<a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=Msg&CODE=02">PM Buddies/Block List</a> - This is like your address book.Type in the members name.
Write a short description about them, which is optional and choose from the drop down if they can message you or not. Choosing 'no' blocks them and choosing 'yes'
allows them to message you and be on your buddy list. You will also see when you receive a private message from a member [Add to Buddies] beside their name.
<p>
<a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=Msg&CODE=14">Archive Messages</a> - You can select messages from your inbox on Teen Vibe and send them
to you actual e-mail that you are using in your profile, or signed up with. You can also choose to delete the messages from your Teen Vibe inbox after they are sent
to your e-mail. The files available are MS Excel and HTML.
<p>
<a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=Msg&CODE=20">Saved (Unsent) PMs</a> - So your in the middle of typing a message and you have to run out. You
have no time to finish it but you don't want to loose what you wrote. Well now you can save your message and continue it later! Just click the "Save (Send Later)" button.
When your ready go to the 'Saved (Unsent Pms)' and click on the message you were writing and continue writing it!
<p>
<a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=Msg&CODE=30">Message Tracker</a> - Before you send your PM you can check off the box to track the message.
When you go to the message tracker it will show you messages you have chose to track and if the receiver has read them or not. Sure you could do this on proboards by checking
your outbox but this way is more clear and you can choose which messages to track and which ones not to. Also if you chose to track a message and then didn't want to actually send it
you can delete it, if they haven't read it yet and they will never know you sent it!
<p>
<a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=UserCP&CODE=26">Subscriptions</a> - If you subscribed to a topic or to a whole board you can view them here. The button to track
a topic is at the top beside Email this topic & Print this topic. and the button to subscribe to the board is at the bottom under the forum jump drop down box and beside Mark this forum as read.
<p>
<a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=UserCP&CODE=02">E-mail Settings</a> - Under Board Preferences you can choose three different options to keep track of your notifications.<p>
<li>Include a copy of the post when emailing me from a subscribed topic<br> Enabling this option will send a plain text version of the post in the subscription email.<p> <li>Send a confirmation email when I receive a new personal message,<br>
Enabling this option will send an email confirmation of any new personal messages sent to you <p><li>Enable 'Email Notification' by default?<br>
Enabling this option will automatically subscribe you to any topic you start or reply to. <p>Check off the boxes of the ones you want and click "Amend my email settings".
<p>
By clicking the <img src="http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a340/Shexislayer/Invision/t_options.gif"></a> button you can choose your thread options.<br>
<li><b>Track this topic<br></b>
Receive email notification when a reply has been made to this topic and you are not active on the board.
<p><b>
<li>Subscribe to this forum<br></b>
Receive email notification when a new topic is posted in this forum and you are not active on the board.<p>
<b>
<li>Download / Print this Topic<br></b>
Download this topic in different formats or view a printer friendly version.

<p>
Another neat thing is you can see in your profile what percent of the forums overall posts have come from you, How many posts you post per day on average and people can also see your local time.
<p><p>

Now if you click on '<b>My Assistant</b>' you can see <br>
· The moderating team<br>
· Today's active topics<br>
· Today's top 10 posters<br>
· Overall top 10 posters<br>
· My last 10 posts<br>
<p>
As well as - <br>

Since your last visit...<br>
There are # new topics. <Br>
There are # new replies to topics you started. <br><p>

If you click on <a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=Search&CODE=getnew">View new posts</a> you will see all posts made since
your last visit. You can also "Mark all forums as read" from here too.

<p>
In the information center under the users online you can click <a href="http://z6.invisionfree.com/Teen_Vibe/index.php?act=Online&CODE=listall&sort_key=click">Last Click</a> this will show you everyone who is online last
click on the forum, whether they are viewing a topic, posting in a board or using the User CP. However you will not be able to see users who are browsing anonymously.
<p>
At the very bottom of the forum you can <b>Delete cookies set by this board ·</b> This means it erases the history of you viewing the forum from your computer. This is usually used if you don't
want someone else who uses your computer to see what you were doing.
<p>
Now I know one or two of these things can be added on proboards with a code but the coding was slowing it down and members were having troubles loading pages. Here these things are already apart of it plus some proboards doesn't have period. There are also more options for moderating, so we all benefit from it. :D
