Well, here is what has happened to me since the beginning of the month.

There is this guy in my class, and like we have known each other since the beginning of the year, but not until the end of May did we start getting close and stuff. Well last Monday I went over to his house to hang out, then we decided to go out for a walk because his mum was going to be coming home soon. As we were walking, obviously my dad is driving home from work and sees us holding hands. Well my dad makes me get in the car, which was a bit embarassing for me, and the guy had to walk back home by himself.

Throughout the whole car ride it is totally silent. When I get home I go upstairs to my room, not saying a word. Then my dad explodes at my step mum down stairs and told her that I was sneaking around with some guy who looked to be like a bad influence. Not sure why the guy would be, since he is very nice. So I figured I would give it a day to let him cool down. He was still pissed the next day. I talked to my step mum and of course she is on his side as well. Can we say overprotective?

So on Tuesday I asked my step mum to talk to my dad about the whole things, since i figured she would understand being a girl and all. Well, she never did in the first place. When I got to school late ( dentist) the guy* had been just coming in too. I told him i was grounded and he said he was mad about that. So on. Then around the end of the day he starts to ignore me. I was a little pissed, but figured it didn't really matter.

So Friday comes, I haven't seen or talked to the guy* since Tuesday, and my dad comes into my computer room and starts yelling at me. Apparently some parent called my dad and told him I was drinking and smoking Marijuana. First of all, I was planning on trying tweed, but I knew i would chicken out once i was given it. And second, who even knew about that stuff? I have a journal with everything in it, so I am starting to think that he went through it. Which is a bit unfair for my privacy. I am not a druggie, I happen to want to get good grades in school. The only thing I really do is drink sometimes.

So I am grounded until after I come back from Iowa around August 20th. I really would like to hang out with my friends before i leave for Iowa, but don't know how to hang out with them. I say that the whole thing is unfair for my part, but at this moment, what do I know.

What should I do? Any advice for me?

talk to your dad, if he won't let you write him a letter. if that doesn't work try talking to a councler or theripist they can have a meeting with you and your dad and work things out. if that doesn't work then your screwed. be fair to your dad and polite. he's freaking out because he doesn't understand and i'm assuming he doesn't want to. good luck.
