Title: Artmeida or Kaunas ?
Description: Who was the worst opponent?

blair7-1 - August 5, 2008 08:03 PM (GMT)

This result is the biggest failure by Dignity FC in their history. Can they repeat it in next year`s CL qualifiers? :D

Now I know how they felt when we went out to Artmedia.

Time to gloat yes, but our house has to be improved so that they feel insecurity and defeat for many many years to come.

Surely the most one sided poll in the history of TCE or any other messageboard.

Still can't stop smiling. :cheer:

Artemedia.

I reckon the 5-0 defeat away defeat to Artmedia was far worse than losing 2-1 away to Kaunas. In terms of the aggregate scores (5-4 v 2-1) they look just as bad as each other. At least we can console ourselves that we went on to destroy them in the league that year, something I doubt they will have the chance to do.

Still embarrasses me to this day when I think about it. And as great and funny as this latest Hun debacle is, it isn't anywhere near the same level as getting fucked 5-0 off a bunch of taxi drivers and goat farmers.

At the end of the day, Kaunus didn't pull down the Huns trousers.

Do you have something against taxi drivers, as bad as that was it was 5 shots 5 goals and Aiden missing a sitter.
But you have to admit the return leg was full of fight , something that mob lacked last night and I hope it continue's.

Near misses and 5 goals from 5 shots is irrelevant (Although you could say that that is a cracking ratio!!). As, ultimately, was the 4-0 victory at home.

Celtic should never get beaten 5-0 in Europe by anyone much less Artemedia!!! And I include Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Man Who, or any other cunt for that matter.

As for taxi drivers? Horrible bastards. And dishonest, cheating bastards at that.

At the time of Artmedia, we had our Manager facing his first game and we were all of the belief that a new day was coming. We were starting out again on a new road, whereas the Huns have signed their players and have very little money left to enhance things.

If nothing else, Strachan had no idea what kind of ability the playing staff were of and although we were pummelled, a lot of it came down to lack of organisation. We had a left back who looked like he had never seen a football before that game let alone mark anyone.

Watt however, is a seasoned campainger. He knew the task ahead and he knew the qualitites of Kaunas. He vastly under-estimated them and sheer laziness and lack of respect was what beat the Huns. No way ever should that team of "Binmen" have beaten the Huns. But we are all glad they did.

We must be well aware that they will come out fighting. They only have the four to go for this season, whereas we have five and they will do everything, cheat, kick and steal their way to points. This year we are going to have to make the beautiful game even more attractive and hopefully they will implode.

What's our fifth and their fourth competition? (genuine question)

Wee mistake methinks.

They are going for three and so are we! :)

I wouldn't mind finishing third in the CL, taking the whole pot of cash and going for the UEFA Cup

I would actually prefer that this season. I mean, how much further can we go in the CL, realistically???

Given what happened last season in the Uefa Cup, give me a another run at the Mickey Mouse cup! We could easily win it with a wee bit of luck.
