People are unable to figure out how to put mugshots onto their game (transferred from the internet, that is).

Displayed below are some mugshots you would probably want to use:

Instructions

Step 1 ~ Open the "Paint" program.

Step 2 ~ Go onto the website that has the mugshot you're looking for.

Step 3 ~ Locate said mugshot, and right click it. Then, hit "Copy".

Step 4 ~ Go into Paint, then hit "File", and "Paste"

Step 5 ~ Next, pull in the window so there's NO WHITE AREA showing. This'll simplify things for later.

Step 6 (Optional) ~ Hit "CTRL+E" and check to see that the image is 38 pixels high and 46 pixels wide. This MUST be the size of your picture. This whole process isn't really necessary, but use it if you're unsure. Another way to get to this is to click "Image", then "Attributes".

Step 7 ~ Click "View", then go down to "Zoom", and click "Custom". Bring it up to 800%.
Note: You can also click under x8 in the tool options to bring it up to 1000%

Step 8 (Optional) ~ Hit "CTRL+G" or click "View", then "Zoom", then "Show Grid" to put a grid up. This is useful for beginners, who need it to count pixels. I would do this since it helps a lot.

Step 9 ~ Using the "Eyedropper" tool, click on one of the colors, then click "Colors", then "Edit Colors". From here, click "Define Custom Colors >>" to bring up a color pallette(sp). This will show you the correct amount of Red, Blue, and Green to put into your color in order to get the right shade and whatnot. YOU CANNOT GET IT EXACT ON THE DS. However, this will help you estimate and get fairly close. Just know that there are 255 different RBG settings, and there are 32 on the DS. This'll also help you get close. Oh, and there's a box next to the RGB settings that you can use to kind of sight-gauge your color compared to the real thing.

Step 10 ~ Once you have your colors right, use the cursor with the Control Pad and start drawing in your mugshot!

A few pointers:
-Start with darker colors first. It's always nice to have an outline.
-When it comes to big blocks of colors, draw the outer pixels first, then just use the bucket to fill in the rest.
-DO NOT USE THE STYLUS. This makes the process almost IMPOSSIBLE.

Members who want to create mugshots so bad so try themselves. It took me about 2 hours to make a Green Dragon mugshot but it was worth it. Mines looks about exactly like the real mugshot.

It is hard but cool. It took 3 and an half hour to create a perfect Django Mug onto my RnR. Anyway thx for this guide FC.EXE. It is usefull for members who don´t know how to make this.

How could it be taking you guys hours? I made my friend a Faltzer mugshot in less than 40 minutes. Maybe it's because I've already picked up a few tricks spriting for 2 years.

I had to sprite and use the comp at the same time. I wanted to check if I had the right colors.

Me, too! It took more time to get the right color than making the pic.

I know this is reviving, but I'm pretty sure it's okay where I'm doing something that helps, and the fact that this is stickied in the first place, so it won't move things around in the forums.

Decal Maker It's far from perfect, but it's good for beginners. It takes an image and turns it into a 32X32 image with a grid, and it uses less colors making it easier. It doesn't look as good, and there's excess space, but it is useful. I made one using Sabata, and then made a 2 pixel border on every side, then wrote his name at the bottom, and filled it up perfectly. Mega Rock's method is probably better for people who are patient enough to do things right.

It will still take long. I'm currently using Green Dragon Rockman mugshot but I changed his mouth in my game to make it look better.

I've seen those before. That guy links to some program called EDGE. It is supposed to somehow generate these sort of images from art. It's in Japanese, so I never understood it.

You can zoom in even more if you click just underneath the x8 in the magnifying glass option. You get an even bigger view. Or, you can paste it, push Ctrl + and it doubles the size, so you don't have to zoom in as much.

Like all of them, you need to copy it pixel by pixel. You might even end up improving it!

Damm! You all can create mugshots. thats not fair. I just can use mugshots which have been releated. Anyone could make a special Django mugshot? The old Django should it be but not the normal mug. A better one where he looks much frienlier. Anyone could do that?

No i'm still making a Burai face pic but I copied the Misora one from that page.
