This should be at Computer/Tech talk... Anyway, AVG Antivirus has a free version. Try with that.
DARK_SLAVE - February 21, 2008 02:34 AM (GMT)
*goes on Google* thank ill try it out
Silvermane16 - February 21, 2008 03:02 AM (GMT)
Try and restore your computer. Sheesh why does no one think of that first?
DARK_SLAVE - February 21, 2008 03:07 AM (GMT)
I have to much important stuff on it silver

System Restore doesn't eliminate any documents, only programs and things like that. Try System Restore if any other solution doesn't work.

I wish I found out about "System Restore" before I found out about "System Recovery"... >_>
uh...I think the path is "Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>System Restore" if it helps any...

Or if you don't have access to Start Menu, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete, then go to File>New task, and write "rstrui" without quotes. System Restore should appear.
You can execute System Restore by entering that mode you can enter by pressing F8 before Windows loads (I don't know the name in English, if someone knows it, please correct it).

Virus scary for you no? get protection before this happens.
Silvermane16 - February 21, 2008 04:01 AM (GMT)
System restore doesnt delete anythingg. It just resets to a certain date.
StarForce - February 21, 2008 04:06 AM (GMT)
But if you have installed a program after the date when you roll back, probably that program won't work and will be un-unistallable.

yup i experienced that -.- btw its just a question maybe its off topic but its a virus or an error that Dc your net while uploading, downloading or entering a site that has alot of things but it stops right when you enter or when its half done??
Virtualruler554 - February 21, 2008 03:38 PM (GMT)
I think it stops when you enter.

I'd say this would be a good time to just move all your files into some CD's, and purge your computer.
If it's one of those viruses from downloading something, it won't leave easily.
Silvermane16 - February 22, 2008 06:12 AM (GMT)
Here is a simple Idea. Save all your files to a CD, flash drive, etc. Then restore your computer to up to 3 days back.
Megacherv - February 22, 2008 07:59 AM (GMT)
[offtopic]ZOMG!!! FALZAR!!! You're back![/offtopic]
Get a Linux LiveCD and delete it using that. The virus shouldn't affect it as it was clearly made for Windows.
[MORE OFFTOPIC]Falzer not Falzar. Also, now You may say Goog Bye to Your red..... ;)[/MORE OFFTOPIC]
