Chapter 1 [Chp1]
=========
PhazeMan landed on the ground, Phazon Blade extended. A black HeelNavi was behind him, a slash diagonally across his chest. "I-- I'll get you!" the HeelNavi shouted as his body glowed white.
"I'm sure you will..." PhazeMan said, sarcastically, turning toward the HeelNavi as he exploded. "Enemy deleted. Your orders, master?"
"Scour the Net for more survivors," a voice crackled in his ear.
"Yes, sir."
PhazeMan hovered slowly around Scilab area. It was in ruin. Flames were everywhere, canisters were broken, Mr. Progs were in pieces on the ground. There were even rifts in the background image.
PhazeMan paused. He looked around.
A noise.
He looked to the side. There was a pile of rubble.
Movement.
PhazeMan dropped to the ground and extended his Phazon Blade, dashing toward the survivor.
He slashed at the rubble.
It exploded as it was unistalled from the site. PhazeMan began to turn back when he noticed something. There was a leftover.
A Navi.
Female.
She was lying unconsious on the ground. She was about 5' 7" with long dark blue hair, fiar skin, and grey NaviEars. She wore a black tanker top attached to black tights. Her gloves and boots were gold, bulky, and very advanced. She had no NaviSymbol.
"Master, this girl is alive. Should I delete her?"
"Scan her first. She looks unusual." The crackling voice again.
"Scanning..." A noise came from inside PhazeMan's helmet. Beeping. "Scan finished."
"Bring her back with you."
"Yes."
PhazeMan retracted his Phazon Blade and reverted his right hand to normal. He picked up the girl in his arms. Her slight bossom touched his NaviSymbol. They plugged out.

"Emergency! Emergency! There's been a sudden attack in Scilab area! Massive damage has been detected! All available forces are to be deployed there immediately!" the radio said with low quality.
"Prelude, you know what this means. Let's go." Yamishin was in a good mood.
"Yeah. Go!"
"Plug in..." Yamishin held his PET up. "Prelude.EXE..." He pointed it toward his computer. And... "TRANSMISSION!!" Pressed the button.
Inside the PET, the floor below Prelude glowed. Brighter. Brighter. He was enveloped. A portal opened above him. Warp. He teleported throught multiple layers of algorithms and circuitry. Then back. Down. Into the internet.
He arrived in Scilab area, hand on the ground. He looked up. Destruction. "Yamishin... This... This is..."
"Horrible," Yamishin finished the sentence. "Who would do this?"
"It was..." a broken and almost dead Navi next to Prelude's foot answered. "It was... a black Navi in a red cloak. He... He..." His head fell and he exploded as he was deleted.
Prelude looked at the spot where the Navi had been for a long time, amazed and disgusted.
Yamishin broke the silence. "He's gone. The black navi, I mean. Let's go. We can't do anything. Let the officials take care of this place."
A teleport beam. Blues. Ten meters away. "You're not leaving. Until you give me proof you didn't do this, I'm taking you hostage."
"Prelude! Get ready!"
"Right!" He held his arm up and changed it to a Buster. "I'm not going without a fight."
Blues was unamused. "Fine, then. I'll just have to delete you." He extended his purple LongSword. "Hmp..."
"What? He's not moving?" Prelude took the oportunity to fire a Buster Shot.
"SONIC BOOM!" Blues slashed with his sword, creating a shockwave that flinged the Buster Shot right back. It hit Prelude in the thigh.
"Gah! You sunnova--!" Prelude changed his buster into a laser cannon. "BLAST LASER!" A blast of light fired out, but Blues dodged it easily, moving forward in the process. The blast went on to hit an undamaged canister in the background. It didn't even dent.
Blues stopped advancing. "Hm? Was that one of your strongest attacks?"
"Yeah! But I've got more where that came from!" He formed a fist and it started glowing. He reared back.
"Stop. I have no intention of fighting you anymore. I know you couldn't have caused this. You're dismissed." Blues teleported out.
Yamishin was stunned. "Was the Navi who did this... Really that strong..?"
Prelude plugged out.

Chapter 2 [Chp2]
=========
He knelt on the ground, his grey hair creating a veil over his face. He wore blue shorts and a blue button-down short sleeved shirt with grey and blue mid-calf boots. "Unh..." he groaned, looking at his grotesque right arm. It was covered in metal, with wooden veins running through it.
"What happened?" he said, lifting his head to show his grey eyes and pale face. He looked at the sky. Static. Then, the ground. Circuitry. Then, the horizon. A land he didn't know. The internet. "Where... is this place? Even Derris Kharlan didn't have this kind of technology."
He looked back at the ground, examining the flowing current of data. "It's..."
"Amazing?" A voice from behind him. He turned around. PhazeMan. "This is the internet. It's a realm made entirely of electric currents generated by computers. It exists in a code made entirely of ones and zeros, which represent on and off. Hardware responds to the on signals which are recieved in a specific order and are seperated by certain numbers of off signals. The hardware then generates this world. The internet. I am PhazeMan."
"This... Is amazing."
"Yes, it is. But you won't be here long. I'm going to delete you."
"Delete me..? You're going to erase me from existance?!"
"Yes, as your program takes more damage, it loses structural integrity and stops sending a signal to the hardware. Your body is then deleted from the server. However, if there is a copy of your entire code somewhere, an ally may use it to create a backup which can essentially bring you back to life. However, most Navis don't have backup data because of the high risk that someone may use it to replicate them. But... You have no backup." Phazeman raised his Buster and aimed it at the boy. "I must say though, you're quite the Navi. Your code is very interesting... Tell me... what is your name?"
"My... my name? I'm Genis... Genis Sage."
"My, my. What an interesting human being you must have been in the physical world. A pity you don't belong there OR here." Phazeman fired a shot. Genis jumped to the side, barely avoiding it. The red globe of energy whizzed passed his ear, and small bits of hair landed on his shoulder. "You're very agile."
Genis whispered to himself, "How-- How did I get so fast? I'm the slowest kid in school!"
Another shot. It missed his right foot. Genis was panicing now. "Kendama, kendama. Where's my kendama?!" He ran from the shots PhazeMan was now firing at him rapidly. As he pumped his arms, he accidently hit himself in the face with his metal fist. "Unh... Wait... this is..!" he stopped running away and now ran toward PhazeMan, weaving around the shots. "Alright, Nova. Let's cast our first spell in the Internet." Genis held up his right arm, grasping its wrist with his left hand.
"Hm? What's this?" PhazeMan lowered his buster, entranced by the rune circle that was appearing in Genis's right palm.
"Alright, PhazeMan. Wanna charge?" The rune circle glowed purple. "THUNDER BLADE!" Genis stopped moving and slammed his palm into the ground, causing a sword of lightning to fall from the sky and strike right in front of PhazeMan. Then, the ground around the blade erupted in a column of lightning, electrocuting PhazeMan and insanely dropping his HP. After a second or two, the lightning and the sword disappeared and Genis stood up, smirking.
"So... You can cast magic spells with that arm of yours..." PhazeMan said, holding a canister to his chest with one hand and grasping his shoulder with the other. His body was smoldering from the Lightning Blade attack. "Oh, well. I got what I came for, so I'll take care of you later. Good-bye, Genis Sage."
PhazeMan and his parcel plugged out.

Genis wandered around the deep UnderNet for hours, narrowly avoiding eye contact with the many viri that inhabited the area. After almost being attacked by a MettaurEX2, Genis stumbled and fell into a bush, hitting something. The something actually turned out to be a someone.
"Ow, ribbit!" ToadMan.
"Oh, I'm sorry! I tripped."
"Oh, oh! This is no place for children, ribbit!"
"Why?"
"This is the UnderNet! It's the most dangerous place on the Internet, ribbit! We've got to get you out of here!"
"But why are you here?"
"I'm doing research for my and my operator's next big news report on Net-crime!"
"Well, if you can get me out of here, I'd appreciate it."
"Can do, ribbit! Follow me."
ToadMan hopped along the trails of the Undernet for about a half an hour, Genis following close behind. They eventually reached a large gate that lead to the main Internet.
"This gate requires an attack to break. Can you do it, ribbit?"
"Um, yeah. I think so." Genis raised his arm. "Air Thrust!" A spinning globe of condensed air surrounded the gate and sliced it to pieces. The pieces fell to the ground and exploded.
"Wow, ribbit, you're strong! Where are you from?"
"Er, um... I'm from... Iselia."
"I've never heard of that place. You'll have to show me sometime, ribbit."
"I... I don't know if I can. I might tell you later, but right now I need to speak to whoever's in charge around here."
"Hmm. You should talk to Blues. He's the best Official Navi around. He'll probably be able to tell you whatever you need to know. Here, this is his homepage." ToadMan handed Genis a stub with a code on it. "Enter that code into a local access transporter and it should take you there."
"Thanks. Who are you?"
"I'm ToadMan, ribbit!"
"Err... I'm Genis."
"You have a wierd name, ribbit."
Genis mumbled, "You're telling me..."
