Title: Megaman Worldwide Network Battle
IceMan - May 30, 2008 12:45 AM (GMT)
Hello all, I joined this site years ago and have not logged in....I don’t even remember, but Pope John Paul was still alive.
I recently found my case that held all my GBA games, I played games 1,2,3,5,6, and Battle Chip Challenge. I finished them all and now I really want to start an idea I had. I’m probably not the first person to try and get another Battle Network game out there but this is the game to end all games.
A DS game with wifi, you can use every navi from games 1-6, the two from BBC, and Megaman’s styles/crosses/souls. Of course, every battle chip from all the games are put together, than add some more to make the library big enough to make folder strategizing tireless. I plan to go deeper into in later, I have a plan and I’m going to do all that I can to make this a reality.
The “Plan”
1. Find a way to contact or meet with Capcom of America (not worth doing if this only stays an idea)
2. Get help from every Megaman site I can, we’ll need a lot of sprites for this presentation
3. Create a long explanation about the game, have sprites, and videos explaining what fans want and what should be in the game
4 Try to get Capcom to forward the idea over to Japan and hope our premise and not wanting any money, acknowledgment, or credit will be enough to get it made.
This is a long shoot but I truly believe it has a chance.
IceMan - June 1, 2008 02:36 AM (GMT)
Ok this is my ideas thread, I’d appericate any comments, suggestions, and anything else.

A customizable battle system is a big must for me and also you can have your own AI allied to help you in battles but when its deleted you have to go back to your home computer to reactivated him/her and repair him/her for zenneys and other recommendations and also answer these following things that I listed.
1.What software are you using to make this game?
2.What programing language are you going to use?
3.What programmers are on your team?
4.How deep the story line will be?
5.Are you planing to have a website?

It a good idea but here the hard part
1) It Capcom of America. It is less likly they would do something like that.
2) Pretty hard to do so
3) We need someone very creative for that
4) Capcom of Japan are the ones who decided this first. Capcom of America just like to censor it.

I too have long since fantasized about a BN game like that , though it would be pretty long you would never get board with it. And of course we would have them put it in rom form aswell and have everythng in the game hack accesible including all navi custume attacks to fit each navi under the player control. If we could get this thing rolling I'd be honored to finance whatever might come up if possible. :Pleased:
Junk Man.EXE - June 3, 2008 09:55 PM (GMT)
Well, I'm not as resourcefull, so I can only give ideas, but I like this. Maybe we could transfer chips to the game like on pokemon DP. For double team (5) we could do a thing where they do download and transfer instead, and theree could be a points system where you can get points for winning battles to spend on special chips and stuff. Sure the last one could be manipulated, like if some guys kept losing to eachother to get a bunch of points, but still. That's what I have. On an unrelated subject, I'd like to know the robot master that bransound has on his avatar...
blazedout - June 4, 2008 01:17 AM (GMT)
Since he want all chips this feature should return. Slotting in a mmbn cartrige will make your preset folder your current folder in the gba mmbn. also i need to see some new remixed songs or better yet add some of the capcom site remixes (which would be the japanese sites).
Super Saiyan 2 - June 4, 2008 03:03 AM (GMT)
AND every navi you get to play as roll(i dont want to play as megaman EVER AGAIN!), bass,etc....all the chips from every bn game too..ummm what else............mini games... no more playing as lan this time YOU be the netop.... upgrades(thats right) dunno what else.

That delete stuff what you mentioned looks cool. And then if you have no monney you must do some jobs in town.
And you can makeyour own costumizable Hero! Or you can choose one.
And Axl must be in this game!! Lol xD
nsrsm - June 4, 2008 07:59 PM (GMT)
All the Navi's!? that sounds good but may I ask what type of plot you would have in mind and would it have more boktai extra's you think this could be like a extensive MMBN 4.5 then? Guess it could work and I would happily give suggestions oh and maybe add a certain navi from network transmission in there and yes that would be Zero.Exe well I'll be quiet now
IceMan - June 5, 2008 01:06 PM (GMT)
Well I guess this is the roster, the playable characters and bosses.
(How to code this so the picture will show in the post?)
http://s213.photobucket.com/albums/cc16/So...=Sprites1-2.jpgI decided the easiest way to put in the beast outs, styles, crosses, and double souls would be adding them through megaman. You go into status and choose either the beast, style, or soul option to add to Megaman and you than pick which form.
There wouldn't be any beast crosses cause with every style and cross they’d have to draw one for every possible combination.
Styles change your megaman sprite to that style and are always on. They don't break when they take elemental disadvantage damage.
Souls and crosses are available from the start of battle and you just hit a button. This time, I think it best if they last 'til the end of the battle and don't break when they take double damage.
Beast outs, activated by hitting the Falzer or Greigar button last for three turns and going again will result in super beast for one turn.
Forgot to say, you can use the Falzer and Greiger beast out, it lasts for one turn and doesn't have super beast out.
(Because it is so strong and since in the anime Megaman had total control.)

nsrsm - June 5, 2008 07:33 PM (GMT)
I like the roster and i like the style change and it would seem the new final boss will be Grezar the fused cyberbeasts right? I would still add Zero (only because he was in network transmission which is between 1 and 2 of the series).
Falken XL - June 5, 2008 08:47 PM (GMT)
I saw, over 60 navis there, and every boss that has a sprite plus one more, it would take like 5 years to make.

That I don't want to see before he become another Bass. They both have a copying ability. Also they might as well add a extra feature like if you beat the game you can play the exclusive mmbn4.5 or something like that.

Aww really, even though they're made most of the sprites before?
IceMan - June 6, 2008 03:00 AM (GMT)
OK I’ve given a lot of thought to the plot and a game that has every net navi wouldn’t be correct, it’d have to be a stand alone thing. So best to keep Wily and evil organizations out of this.
Lan wakes up and asks MegaMan what they should do, MegaMan tells him he doesn’t know and says how boring things have been lately. Lan’s mom walks in and asks him to get some mail data or something from a friend’s navi. You encounter old bosses at every turn, this time coming seemingly out of no where to challenge you. (Like GutsMan, who is waiting in Lan’s homepage to challenge you, he is the tutorial partner.) At first, the navi holding the data isn’t far at all, but when you get there, MagaicMan steals it right out of nowhere. He and the original WWW navis want to challenge MegaMan, so you fight MagicMan, when you win they all disappear. The search for Mrs. Hikari’s takes you to every nook and cranny of the net. (In this game, the net is huge, like as big as the world in a Pokémon game.) A good way to describe it is “The biggest game of Keep away.” The data gets passed along to just about everyone and none of MegaMan’s friends hold it for very long.
The game ends when your search leads you to the deepest part of the Undernet, Bass finds it and uses it as a way to force you into battle, after you win, in desperation, he releases both Cyber Beats but loses control, they fuse, and you have to fight Super Cyber Beast Glazer.

I think he's under the impression that this would be a fan made game but what we are talking about is having capcom possibly make it. They have all the data from the series, they'd just have to add it all together adding a few cool stwists, plus I think it would be fun to have an unlockable reader card screen to edit and have megaman be able to cross with certain rare and powerful viruses aswell.
bransound - June 6, 2008 04:14 AM (GMT)
Nice Iceman but I like the idea of every navi accessible and playable better. And nice roster by the way I think you cover every navi, cool.
FEV Nemo - June 6, 2008 09:09 AM (GMT)
Bransound, don't Double Post under 10 minutes. You're noiotified.

Is it so crazy to believe they'd make a game based off the idea from some teens?

Wrong, I'm under the impression Capcom has no motivation for making MMBN games anymore and it would take years.

Stick with the original idea because the second one just would sound silly and plus 60 playable characters is better then 1 IMO.

Think how hard and long it would be/take, plus, with over 60 playable characters how different would the characters be? Probably a different sprite and a different charge attack, that's all. 5 or 10 characters, best idea.

The characters would be very differnt, everyone has at least 2 different charged shots. There's also the navis with elemental properties and everyone would have navi cust programs already in them. Like how Elecman has FloatShoe and Gyroman has Airshoe, by picking characters who already have navi cust programs in them save time and don't make just pick the coolest looking.

What I'm saying is, if you program a whopping 60 characters you wouldn't have enough time to make the story very good, or you wouldn't have very detailed or different characters.

No no I'm not making it, would if I could, but this is something for them to do. All the ideas, stories, characters, come from us.
I've e-mailed them and I'm waiting for a replay as to weather Japan would consider making a game presented to them.

1st post of the 2nd pade
@Super Saiyan 2 You better Believe I will
Now game stuff
Would it be too much to have the same battle chip automatically ajust to the color scheme of the navi using it? For example, the same FireSwrd used by everyone would have a red flame but when used by BurnerMan it would have a blue flame.
(It'd work the same, kept the same range and do the same amount of damage.)
Another problem are the characters how don't have the human shape, how would you play as them? StoneMan, if I recal he is bigger than one block and shirking him down wouldn't make him StoneMan. Than there is DesertMan, how would you control his head and arms, and what would his buster be?
blazedout - June 8, 2008 12:00 AM (GMT)
That would be really hard to do with the flame thing. If you change the pallates, it would most likly affect the other pallates that uses it. for example, on my gregar patch work, i changed the flamethrower charge shot of heat cross and when i used the chip fireburner that got affected as well.
As for navis like Planetman, Desertman, Pharohman, Stoneman, etc. It would be most likly impossible unless you either get them to play 4.5 style with super armor with it.

blazedout - June 8, 2008 02:58 AM (GMT)
If you played Rockman EXE 4.5 then yeah. L for a certain attack, R for another attack, B probably for random space movement instead of shuffling chips and a is for the obvious.

Well I've never played 4.5 and I'd hate to exclude anyone but it really seems impossile to make someone without a human shaped body playable.
IceMan - June 11, 2008 01:04 PM (GMT)
OK, even though all the characters stated as playable on this roster.
http://s213.photobucket.com/albums/cc16/So...=Sprites1-2.jpgSome just can't be used, and if so than they wouldn't be able to use battle chips. That is almost everyone without a human shape body.
That would be StoneMan, DesertMan, FlameMan, and DarkMan. It isn't that bad, they'd still be in the game as playable bosses, having navi chips and everything you just would be able to use them.

OK I'm going to start posting characters charged shot attacks, I'd love it if you guys could add any you can think of. I'm not going to worry about how much damage they do as of now.
Besides MegaMan, everyone has at least 2 charge shots, you pick which one in the status screen.

This is just an idea i came up with, shouldn't in the game there be some sorta remixed version of most battle network games or specific musics for specific characters. Ex: For an mmbn 1 boss you would have a mmbn 1 boss remix when in battle
