I have a fully licensed hyper cam 2. I check the thing that says "Record Sound" but it never does record the sound. Any help?

is it ticked first ( if its not then jsut a simple mistake -.-) and maybe something in your pc doesnt allow sound to be recorded or something ( like my friend's pc did to them) and what's your system?

My operating system? Windows XP

what codec your using to record?

Maybe the recording volume is off. Try checking sound options for "Stereo Mix".

Um...I don't know how to figure out. There's about 10 different codecs that show up in System info, and I choose auto select.

Edit: I don't see anything saying "Stereo Mix".

can you names all the codecs??

It usually one or both of these 2 options

1. In the volume option, raise the recording and line n option.
2. Put the video in Windows Movie Maker and raise the volume of the video.


I used to have that same problem when I use HyperCam for my RnR2 vids but I fixed that problem now.

Best left at automatic. It keeps the best quality supported to the pc speed and chooses the right and best codecs.

Stereo Mix is is the Recording Controls. Go to Control Panel -> Sounds and Multimedia -> Audio Tab. Click on Volume button, at 'Sound Recording section'.



I think it is a problem of Stereo Mix volume.

What sound output it's relaying on? Sometimes thats the problem.

Off Topic: Can you use Hyper Cam to recored games? if not then are there any other free software that dose it?

CamStudio is free, open source and works like a charm. You should try it.

I can record, just not the sound. Also blazedout I tried turning the volume to max. Heard nothing but static.


Edit: Turned Stereo Max to Max volume, checked it. Didn't work. Tried Camstudio, didn't work. I'm using a laptop if that changes anything.

With Camstudio, go to Audio Options for Speakers, and do a Manual Search. That will detect the right line to record from.

It says the first line is correct, but it doesn't work.


Edit: I have a temp. fix. Put a microphone right next to the speaker and change the setting to record the audio perfectly. It also let's me do the narration while I'm playing the game, which is even better.

Do a Manual Search, not Automatic. When it asks you for the first line, press No and try with every line...

You should try SnagIt8, it has a full version for 30 days, and it's really nice... Plus if your good... i might... hehe has key :O

This happened to me. You're computer can't do everything fast enough so instead of recording the sound it is putting all of its speed into the recording. Sometimes the sound card can't keep up with the computer too.
Basicly you need a faster processor or a new sound card.

SnagIT isnt so great. it lag badly.

Sangit aint so great tried useing (when i had mugen) it sucked no sound nada and laged badly...i helped Falken....i mean Solidus license hyper cam 2 if you didnt know....theres three things i think why hyper cam 2 doesnt record sound...:



1.is it your sound?



2.is it the site where you downloaded it?



3.....hmmmmm did you lower the hyper cam's2 volume?

check your volume control and make sure that stereo mix is not muted

I'm using Camstudio now, works alot better.

Also, install CamStudio Loseless codec. It will work even better,

I don't want be maliciuos or something but 23 messages and You still cannot configure Hyper Cam? I'm stupid as donkey but it works perfectly for me..

It wasn't just Hypercam. It was recording sound in general, and NOTHING worked besides my temporary fix.
