I've had viruses like this in my computer, but I've never figured out what they did.

A few days ago, I was downloading stuffz (yes, stuffz. Don't bother asking what it is because you won't get a reply from me. Don't worry, it's not that adult stuff. :Tounge2: ).

Uh, as I was saying, I scanned all of those files, and one of them turned out to be infected. Something like "Trojan Horse Generic 5."

Question: What do Trojan Horses do, and how do they harm your system?
(I could check google for this, but TREZ is probably more reliable)

EDIT: I've wiped the file that had the virus, by the way. :rolleyes:

That should be simple enough for you. If you still have questions, ask. I've met people who design/fight and experiment with virus and virii.

Lol, and may I ask how you were downloading your content? (I.E torrents, direct link)

I see. Most of the time torrents won't have virus or virii, but you cant be too careful. I helped someone the other day cause they downloaded Limewire 1.8 PRO and got a virus >.>

I like direct links better, but most of the good stuff is on torrents =P
